Does anyone know anything about when the shipyard may reopen? We have a large party and was interested in doing the yacht 1 for fireworks but can't really find info on it anymore. Thinking they may have permanently stopped doing it?

It was in the water when we were here in November, however, when just passing, I did not see it there. I know someone who will be disappointed they took their boat away…

Hi guys!! Checked in to BPK this morning!! Was still at Boardwalk when our Room Ready text came, so that was great start to the day!! (Around 10:30am!) Rooms are BEAUTIFUL Love our view!

They did a great job with these rooms. They are beautiful and what you expect from the Grand Floridian. I love the table in the entrance. It is a great place to dump your stuff and still leave the room looking tidy.

We had a room view like yours years ago, except on the third floor. I loved the view.

Wow! So glad your room was ready early!! Your trip sounds wonderful.

Well, your pictures "talked" me into another YC/GF split stay next summer. I really don't like the day between hotels. But other than the switch day, it is the best of both worlds as far as getting to MK and EP or getting back "home" after the fireworks/shows.

Not much construction going on the past two days, it’s actually been super quiet. Today, as we were walking back from the boat, Narcoossee’s construction was in full swing, there were workers over at Boca Chica as well as workers over by the Conch Key building. Looked as if they were scoping things out. Possibly the next building to be worked on?

Oh my, well I hope they don't take another building totally out with one still being worked on! I mean maybe they have really low percentage of rooms filled so can do more than 1 building at a time...

I thought the work is only supposed to occur during the daytime, is it loud? We arrive the end of next week and pretty nervous about this. We have a standard view booked at BPK,, hoping this isn't super disruptive. I requested a room on the far end from Boca Chica, trying to get a bit further away from it.

I have had my Disney visa for years. I have used the discount for room bookings many times. Usually it is in Jan to spring but this year was different. Sometimes it’s because the GP or AP discount is not available for my dates /hotel I’m interested in.

I also like to get the reward $ and use on dining for my trip. It’s easy to transfer to a redemption card. After 1st time ordering one you just continue to add to it and reuse.

I don’t do packages. I always do hotel res and pay only 1 night. I often change hotels or dates and need the flexibility . However it seems like a nice option.

I'm with you here, 100%. I always book room only and need the flexibility for my multiple changes. I pay w/Disney Visa and save up Reward Dollars for "extras" like dining, dessert parties, special event tickets. For my upcoming trip, I used my Reward $ for MNSSHP tickets.

It’s not disruptive at all. Where the arrow is is where the construction was located… one of the furthest points from BPK. I did not find the construction to be bothersome at all today, even while at the pool. I actually didn’t even notice it unless walking passed it.
