Beautiful! The more that I look at that lobby though, the more I think it's in dire need of a major refresh.

I think it(the lobby) and the rooms are scheduled for a refurb.I'm guessing the main building will be last

Yeah, I know. I'm just reading where a lot of people are going off the rails about the idea of making changes to the lobby. I wouldn't be unhappy with some of the theming I'm seeing in the refurbed rooms being carried through to the lobby myself.

Unfortunately, that’s all we were given at this time.

I think the lobby carpet and furniture are really showing their age.
Can't wait to see what they do with the lobby -- hope they
leave the marble floor alone.

I leave for the Grand this Friday! Whoot! I guess I'd better start thinking about charging up my magic band and throwing some clothes in a suitcase. Heading down with my teen daughter to visit my CM daughter and have a little mother/daughter Christmas fun. We've planned a CP Dining Pckg and the MVMCP. Other than that... I'll probably just be hanging around the Grand, which is my idea of a nice vacation. Glad to see the tree is up!

I'm assuming the Garden Tea Room will be on hold indefinity with expected future renovations. Afternoon Tea at GF was one of the most delightful experiences at WDW, particularly during the holiday season.

Gotcha. I love the new look for the rooms and if they kept the main lobby/building in that same look/color palette

Already went into the store… plenty of GF Loungefly bags available… and of course, I had to get one!! Have a few crossbody bags as well. No GF Ornaments, though.
