I cant beleive it. Disney's first black princess!? This is going to be soooooo cool. Oh yeah Disney's The Frog Princess (The movie she is playing in) is coming out 2009.

Wow. This move sounds great... I love Aladdin and Little Mermaid! And Newman's music... Gosh, this is a mix of the best as far as I'm concerned.

I think it is especially important that they are taking over two years to make it...shows thought, dedication, lots of time and energy going into the project. I also hope they release it in theatres like they did for Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Little Mermaid, Lion King, Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Cars, etc. It's been a long time coming. I was just thinking about it though. I can kind of see why they waited until now. I mean, yes, we have had equal rights for the races for quite some time, but it seems that only over the past 10-15 has the world become completely comfortable with it. KUDOS DISNEY!

PS - dancergirlsasha, you said it is the best of the best combination, I could think of one replacement...while Newman is excellent, think about what it would be like if Alan Menken wrote the songs...oh Menken, please come back to Disney song-writing!

I agree about Menken. The Pixar music was extremely forgettable.
