What kind of soap do the washing machines in Bay Lake Tower one bedroom’s take? Pods or…? Thanks!

They give you a small bottle or two of laundry detergent. I usually bring a travel size bottle of liquid Tide. Pods should work too. I just like the liquid to treat stains before washing.

This just reminded me of our last trip at BLT where DH for whatever reason put a napkin of cinnamon nuts from MK in his pocket. I did not check before I washed Tide pods to the rescue. I did not know what in the world was in the bottom of the washer!!

We used Pods last year in our 1 bedroom suite. Worked just fine.

Any one have any news on the Garden Rooms refurbishment?

Due to Southwest flight changes I had to add a day to my trip so I booked my 1 night stay at BLT in a Deluxe studio- standard view a few weeks ago. However, a Garden Wing - Garden View room at the Contemporary just popped up for my date of April 30th and I just switched to save $110 for the night!

Does any one have any news on refurbishment? I read somewhere that the garden wing rooms wouldn't be bookable until June as they were being refurbished....but one popped up this morning and I made the switch for the savings.

I then move over to AKL - CL for 5 nights. Big expensive solo trip for me!!!!

I also saw and booked a garden wing room for the week of May 10th, I hadn’t seen one for that time frame for the last 2 months so am curious if the refurbishment is going quicker than expected??

I was at CR a couple of weeks ago. Couldn’t really see much at the Garden Wing since it’s pretty well fenced off, but I could see at least one finished room on the far end of the wing (I’m judging based on furniture and fixtures). The rooms closest to the tower were still very much in the demolition phase from appearances. So it appears to be a mix of rooms possibly done/close to done and rooms still early in their renovation. At least from what little can be seen.

I have a friend staying in a contemporary garden wing room the first weekend in April - interested to see if they get moved to tower.

Wondering if anyone has any news about the splash pad construction at BLT? Going to be there in 30 days and hoping it will be finished by then. Not sure when they actually started the work.

Read on another Disney fan site that the front desk area at the CR is closed for refurbishment. Scrims are up in front of the front desk, all the way down to the seating area for Steakhouse '71. This is quite strange as this area was just refurbished for the 50th anniversary and reopened in late September 2021.
