When taking the boat to Fort Wilderness to eat at Trail's End, would we need to take an internal bus? Or is Trails End nearby?

Thank you!

Thank you Dacky! The food looks great and we are hoping to check it out during our January visit to CR.

Any chance of a quick answer to this question? (Making FP+ selections at midnight!)

When going to and from DHS from CR, is there sharing of the bus with other resorts? And if so, which ones?
I ask because back in '09, I was coming back to GF from DHS, and we stopped at WL, CR, Poly, and finally GF and I was about to lose it!

Thanks!

I don't know for sure but last August when we stayed at CR, we shared with the Polynesian.

Super excited for my first stay at the CR! We are doing a split stay, AKL CL [July 13-16] for 3 nights then CR CL [July 16-18] for 2 nights. My room is showing as "Standard Room - King - Club Level", I had a friend say that is one of the two bookable king rooms on the 14th floor I read about on the first page here. Is that true? If so, awesome! It cost a little more than what was listed online for Atrium CL so I suppose it'd make sense. Either way, very excited!

This is (somehow) my DH's first trip staying on property. I think he will love it.

Also, Question: Is the room decor on the 14th floor different? It seemed less bright and cheery than the decor I see in the pictures on the Disney website for the CR. Just curious.

Yep, that's one of two TPV King rooms on the 14th floor. The room numbers are 4911 and 4912. They're right next to the lounge, so that's a plus. As far as the decorations, I personally think the Tower Club decor is more cheery and bright than the other CR floors. It's all lighter colors (light greys, yellows) and paler woods than the rest of the resort. It still fits in with the whole CR theme, but to me it kinda seems like they wanted to take advantage of all the extra sunlight you get on the 14th due to the huge balconies and so they decorated in a way that reflected that. If that makes any sense. :) The redesign up there looks so beautiful. I can't wait to see it in person.

Awesome! I am so excited for the balcony. I had no idea that what I booked was "special" until she told me haha. I just asked for a king bed! I'm sure I'll love it no matter how it is decorated

That's how we were too when we booked those rooms for F&W this October. We thought it was 12th floor until we did a little more research. We're so excited about Tower Club. We have a longer wait than you do, though! :( Share some pics here when y'all get back!

Will do! I'm very excited. It's going to spoil us forever though since this is our first CR stay!

Ok- Now I have a question...So did the Arcade get scrapped recently? DD has a card and was looking forward to playing at CR arcade because she remembers it being there from the last visit for dinner.

In April, I think we shared with Wilderness Lodge.

Thanks for the quick replies! I did keep this in mind last night at midnight when making FP+ selections. We were trying to figure out if it made sense to hit DHS when it opens, come back to CR for a break, then head back over for a 6:00 ADR without feeling like we were rushed.

Looking to book Contemporary for marathon weekend. I will be participating in the 5k and half. For marathon weekend last year we stayed at POR. Do a lot of runners stay at the contemporary? Is the monorail running for all the races? Anything else I need to know about marathon weekend at the Contemporary?

You can do it! Just get there nice and early and get out :p as early as you can, so that you'll have plenty of R&R time back at CR :cloud9: That way, (hopefully) you won't feel too terribly rushed to hit the bus around 5pm :yay:

Hope you got all the FP+s you wanted.

Still at the CR, but they moved it up to the fourth floor.

What a sweet post - thank you @hitzgrl123. You deserve a very special award for reading through all those pages. I'll add your dates to the Lodgers' Log.

Your sisters-only trip sounds like it will be so much fun and memorable. Make sure you have your calendar marked at the 60-day point for your FP+ and OCI. What ADRs do you want to make?

And apparently I don't know all the acronyms yet- been racking my brain but I can't figure it out- what is OCI?

For ADRs I definitely want Hoop Dee Doo (old family favorite- plus now I hear now there is sangria! Benefits to going as grown ups haha.), BOG dinner, and Califirnia Grill. Trying to get my sister's input for others, but the Sci Fi Drive In and Boma are also on my radar.

I'm trying to keep in mind that this does not have to be the last time I go- it'll be ok if I leave some things undone and untried for future trips!
