I've always done online check in and called to confirm my requests a few days before my stay. In the past, those who did online check in got an expedited check in at the desk (b/c CC info was already documented, PIN numbers set, etc). But you still had an actual person checking you in and giving you your room assignment, which could be negotiated. Now, however, with the direct-to-room testing, you are able to bypass the desk completely. But I'm sure they would still be willing to accomodate your request, if you were unhappy with your room and another room was available. The only disadvantage I see here is potentially having to go to your room first to check out the location.I am a little nervous to do on-line check in. I definitely want to be as far away as possible from Chef Mickey and I am afraid if I do not check in in person this may not happen. I want to be able to change the room immediately. What do you all think? What is the benefit of checking in on-line vs. in person?
How comfortable is the Queen pull out sofa beds in the 2 bedroom villas?

Under 15 minute walk to MK. If you have your own transportation, you may want to head right to the park. If using ME, they will take you to the resort anyway, so doesn't matter. But it will definitely be a quick turnaround. If the walk to GW is 5 - 7 minutes, how long a walk to MK?
Also, it is our first time at CR or any of the deluxes. (I am tired of buses.) We are arriving at MCO at 6:30 pm and I will do online check-in. Are we smarter to check our carry-ons and head directly to MK (open until 11 pm) or head to the room first and then go to MK. We have passes so don't need to spend extra money on a 3 hour ticket.
Thanks for the insight!I've never slept on it myself, but we always use it. It's pretty comfortable. On our first DVC trip, my 68 yr old in-laws (one with a bad back) slept on it with no problems or complaints.
I have slept on it several times and it's very comfortable. You can't feel a bar in your back like other hotels. Our only complaint is not having a true comforter. We do call down and ask for an extra blanket without any problems. How comfortable is the Queen pull out sofa beds in the 2 bedroom villas?
You will need to have your TA add the room request for you.Hey guys I just have a quick question. My fiancé and I are checking in to the CR on Sunday may 17th for our disneymoon and have a theme park view room. How do I request that I get a king size bed? Should I wait until I get there to request this? Also just to add some information I booked this through a travel agent. So should I contact the travel agent and make sure they put a request in for that instead?
Thank you!You will need to have your TA add the room request for you.
Hey everybody!!!!! Me and my girl are going to be staying in the 1 Bedroom TPV Tower Suite on the 14th floor in October and I want some info about the birds. LOL. I already know don't eat on the patio because once the birds see that, they'll flock to your patio expecting to be fed. But does anybody have anymore useful tips on keeping the birds away from the patio? I want to avoid this situation right here......I think the birds are protected because of the conservation Disney has on the property. But my biggest concern besides what's shown in that YouTube clip is the birds congregating on the patio whether you eat or even use the patio or not. Will they do that? Will we be able to use the patio? I was thinking of getting some strong bug spray like Raid and spraying certain areas of the patio to keep them at bay, will Disney allow us to use any type of bug spray towards the birds? I love nature like the next guy and don't want to necessarily KILL the birds or harm them at all, they was here before we were after all. I just want to make sure that me and my girl are able to use the patio without any fear of a flock bothering us whenever we decide to stay in. Any tips you guys give me will be greatly appreciated.![]()

Does BLT (or any DVC resort) normally have a BB offer in the rooms like other resorts that are non-DVC? We're staying @ BLT in October with rented points but I'm already in the planning phase of our March 2016 trip as well. I"m undecided about a resort for that visit but thinking ahead in case there's a BB offer during our October trip. Thanks for any insight.
If you booked through a TA then yes, they have to be the ones calling to request, as they "own" your reservation. Did you list it on your online check in as a request? Also if you don't have one then by all means ask if one is available but be prepared, they don't have an over abundance of Kings. Be sure to mention that it is your honeymoon as wellHey guys I just have a quick question. When on points there is no bounce back offer never gotten one in all the trips on our points
Awww, I forgot that Randy is over at CR now! I hope to see him. He was fabulous to my family during our stay at WL CL. Wonder if he'll remember us? It's been almost 3 years now!View attachment 85469
I don't think the calendar can be read very well since I couldn't scan it - sorry. I switched to "Public Space WiFi" and that actually worked much better than "In Room."
Looking forward to Trail's End soon and it's another beautiful day. I startled a painter who was right outside our door this morning at 6:30 painting the baseboards. They are always working to keep everything looking nice and fresh. They are finishing up repainting the Garden Wing roof.
It was a real treat getting to see Randy S. yesterday. He was the CL manager at WL and is now the Recreation manager at CR/BLT. It's a job that keeps him very busy...and tan.
I'll try to check back in later today now that I found a connection that seems to work better for posting.
I still have BB hope though because I decided to add a few days onto our trip and will be checking out of BLT on Oct 9th and into POR for a few nights. They should have a BB offer there correct?
