Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

We’ve only stayed at BWI CL twice, but it must have been at the wrong times. We had a packed lounge with no seating & loud both times, lol. We stay at YC CL frequently & find that pretty quiet most of the time. The lounge can get crowded around 8 am & 5:30 pm. But most of the time it clears out quickly. So many people love BWI CL, I really need to find the best time to go to try it again.
Oh wow! I'm sorry that you didn't have a great experience at Innkeepers. Was it recently? Years ago they had a chef that would cook in the lounge during the appetizer period, and on Sundays they did made to order omelets. Those activities definitely drew everyone in. It was often so crowded as to be unpleasant. Our last few trips we've had the place to ourselves at times.

Daughter and I are staying RPC for a couple of nights over 4th of July. As a massive fireworks fan and a massive GF fan, I'm STOKED. Split stay w/BWV, and I've never stayed there, so I'll have to go check out the Boardwalk thread. Have a Test Track CM preview ride, not sure what day. Never ridden TT, but I guess I will this time. My usual last minute trip, flying by the seat of my pants...
We will be in RPC over July 4th as well. Hope we run into you at some point!

I know this question comes up a lot, but I'm still confused by the Contemporary booking
categories for the twelfth and fourteenth floors.

These two:

Resort View - Club Level

Resort View - King - Club Level

It just says: enjoy access to the designated Club Level Lounge.

I only want to stay on the fourteenth floor. Any way to guarantee the
fourteenth floor, or should one call and make a request?

I am here now and was put on the twelfth floor with a booking of Resort View - Club Level.

This has to be one of the most unclear booking categories at WDW. Club level guests
can have very strong opinions about where they want to be!

BWI can be a good CL value. With a good discount, it can be one of the "cheaper" options. I like it there -- the food is good and great staff! Convenient location. Royal Palm Club is a treat. I love that they have the champagne out in the morning for mimosas.
I like Yacht Club a lot, but I wasn't fond of their CL last time I stayed. I would try it again, though. My next CL stay is AKL CL.
I feel like that is a good fall/winter CL because it is comfortable sitting outside to watch the animals. I also like their food. I don't like asking for alcoholic beverages, but maybe that has changed since I've been there last. I'm considering a quick trip to Wilderness Lodge this summer and doing the CL add on. I prefer that to staying on the WL club level floor, and it can be very reasonable if
you get a standard room.

I am unaware of a club level add on ? Is that done after booking a regular room ? How do you do that if you don’t mind ?

I learned about the add on from this thread!
1. Book a room.
2. At check in, say: "I would like to inquire about the club level add on." or something similar.
It should be about $150.00 per night, per room.
3. They will have you agree to the added charge and will charge it to your room credit card. They will key your
cards to work on the Club Level floor. This is a the fifth floor and overlooks the lobby.

I have never been told No, although it is dependent on club level availability. This is the only deluxe resort that has
this as an option. If the person checking you in has not heard of this add on, ask to speak to someone else. Quite a few
folks on this thread have used this club level add on, so they might chime in. If you use the search above, you should be able to find some nice pictures of WL Club level offerings. They have good beer choices, solid food offerings and a great view down to
the lobby.

I’m with you! I also don’t like asking for wine and much prefer self serve!

A couple of points. You need to purchase if for your length of stay. And the CL Add-on is only available at check-in, there is no way to reserve ahead of time.

The reason that WL has this unique one of a kind offering is due to the conversion of the south wing to CCV. As a result there was extra capacity on the 7th floor CL lounge.
