Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

In a stunning development, DH wants to go to Disney for a couple of days. Seriously, ya'll, alert the media. Buy lottery tickets. Wish on a star. Because this is total crazy talk. I want to do BWI because he likes that area and I want to take him to do the Geo-82 fireworks party, but I can only get the garden suite right now (this is for middle of April next year, although a Mon-Thurs stay, so hopefully more will pop up). Seems like mixed opinions on how big of a pain it will be to get to the lounge. Stairs, elevator, etc. Any specific recommendations are welcome, though of course, I'll search here a bit.

We'll be staying in a BWI garden room this September. I'll let you know what I think & the grumpy old man that will be with me. 🤣

That is major news. Congratulation I hope he does not cramp your style much. Your biggest challenge may well be the Geo-82 Fireworks party.

We did the Garden Rooms with CL Access once, and only once with a great discount. It was fine except the late night climb up the stairs to the bedroom. We developed a schedule of stopping by the CL Lounge on the way at in the morning, and a stop at the Lounge on the way back to the room. It was not as convenient as being on the same floor as the lounge but it worked.

Oh, I agree! Hoping midweek will help. From res system, there is availability, but seems limited for parties of 2. Time will tell.

Good info, I’ll keep my eyes peeled!

FWIW keep stalking. BB rates are better for CL vs AP or GP rates. For example Poly CL was $777 for Resort View CL and BB was $754 for Water View CL. I think the AP rate was $924 ish.
We just booked Poly Water View CL like 20 minutes ago with our BB, but the lowest rate we saw was $928, wish we could get the $754! Although $928 is still way better than the $1400+ without the BB! We went a bit overboard with the BB this trip, we booked 3 more club level trips for 2026 with it, never saw so much BB availability at CL before, we couldn't pass it up!

I think it depends on dates & resorts. I’ve had trouble finding YC CL with a BB. Even when I have seen it, the AP rate was better. I book whatever discount I find, then regularly check under any discount available & grab anything lower.

We did the Garden Suites for the first time late last year. This is going to be a bit of a stretch, but to me the Garden Suites have a bit of a CR 14th floor feel/vibe to the rooms themselves - here you are in the middle of one of the most crowded destinations on earth with chaos and stimulation all around, but you come back to one of the most remote, beautifully designed places on property basically isolated from everything else that’s really just steps away. It’s a great vibe, in my opinion, and such a unique accommodation style with room to spread out. With maybe a couple of nits, we liked the room design and renovations. I find the fact that these even exist rather fascinating, and would love to have been a fly on the wall of the architecture/design meetings way back when.

Very subjective of course, but we didn’t mind the extra steps to the room or lounge. No doubt it changes the way you utilize CL vs other resorts, but you can tend to easily adapt it into your daily comings and goings with no issue. Note we have no issue with walking/distance to the lounge, and don’t tend to be the ‘always using the lounge’ types, so that likely influences our opinion.

For no particular reason we never used the staircase, just walked to the elevator and up to the lounge floor.

I need to go back and look at what I had to say about them at the time because I’m wondering if I was more negative back then and I’m letting the passage of time influence my thoughts my on the positive end. So don’t yell at me if I’m contradicting myself - with maybe some exceptions I can usually find the good in most Disney resort things somewhere. That whole courtyard area really is such a lovely place. 😇

I would like to try the version with the balcony on the second floor as I think I’d like that setup better.

April is a long time away - hope he doesn’t change his mind by then. 8-)

Asking for a friend.. how many different CL stays in one trip is too much? If doing a split stay and trying several what’s the ideal amount of time at each? Currently doing 7 nights at BWI/4 nights GF/1 night YC. What would you change? Better to do at least 2 nights at YC to make it worthwhile/less hectic?

Also I keep going back and forth on the Victorian suite. I can save $1400 just doing a TPV CL room and my 2 tweens each get their own bed. Is the Victorian suite really worth it??

Appreciate your input!

You’ve had a lot of input already so nothing all that interesting to add. The CLs are generally on a 3 day rotation for evening food offerings, so anything more than 3 starts to get a little repetitive, if you’re the type to always use the lounge. I agree with others I wouldn’t want that last 1 nighter - I’d personally rather shorten GF and add YC, or just do a GF / BWI split.

It varies of course, but I’m sometimes surprised how some of those larger GF suites pop up closer to the date in question, so maybe keep checking if something other than the Victorian suite pops up?

Sounds like a great long stay no matter what. A little jealous!

Thank you all so much for your answers to my question. I will be requesting this room for our september visit as my husband now has some health issues that would make it a more enjoyable stay.

Have you searched and considered booking the “Garden Room - Club Level Access - Wheelchair Accessible with Rollin Shower and Optional Hearing - King” when you have the ‘accessible room’ option clicked? Since I’m assuming this has to be that room as I’m pretty sure it couldn’t apply to any other Garden Suite room, that will guaranty you have this room. I don’t know how they normally manage things but it’s possible they may treat this as a room they don’t commonly fill so your request method could work, but it does have some risk since requests are just that. Maybe something to consider if super important to your stay?

These are my favorite rooms at Disney. What I love about them is they are little slice of peace and quiet within the madness that is Disney. I’m not a crowd person so I need a little time to decompress.

You can either walk into the main building and take the elevator up. Depending which room you have this is a 2-4 minute walk to the main building. If you are on the far end there are stairs right there you and can take those. If we are the end I often take the stairs down to our room.

I prefer the ones with a balcony to the ones with courtyard. The courtyard is cute but you just walk through it and I often sit on the balcony.

Happy to answer any questions.

I thought I remembered that you liked them, but I haven’t had time to search yet. I will say, the extra 1/2 bath really appeals!

If he bails, that’s ok - right now, he’s happy because the schedule for him involves him meeting me there Monday and us moving to my family’s beach place (that he looooves) on Thursday, with carefully curated Disney plans in between (bc I know my audience 😂). If he changes his mind, I’ll just shift to an MK resort possibly and/or do MYOCL for the weekend and then shift to CL, I’m sure other things will pop up before then. But I love Flower and Garden, so I’ll happily be there regardless! Perfectly fine to go solo, he will never be a big Disney guy, that’s ok.

Thank you!!!! This is great. We are both perfectly fine walking, though I may bring an insulated coffee cup and get him a Nespresso first thing to prevent excessive crankiness.
