There were thunderstorms every afternoon & the pool closed, so I never got to go swimming. Not a big deal for us. And we did get our Disney+ day ears!

Your view is beautiful, but I’m sorry to hear of the other problems with your room. Thanks for the warning about that room location. I’m sure RPC will be great. Enjoy.

That room is one reason I hesitate to ask for a room “close to the lounge”

It sounds like a terrible room. We had room 5652, which is next to the lounge at BC CL and you could hear the ice machine and elevators, too. But the worst part was that groups of people would gather and talk right outside our room door. We didn't ask to be close to the lounge, but we got it.

I also don't ask to be near the elevator, especially after having a couple of rooms that shared a wall with the elevator mechanism at GF and WL.

Checked out of YC, spending the morning in Epcot before heading to GF. Breakfast was a repeat of Tuesday… pancakes, sausage, oatmeal & cheese & egg frittata. Sorry I never looked at adult beverages as we don’t drink.

So when I got the call from CL a few days before we arrived, I asked for the first hall near the lounge. I dreaded the room as soon as I got the room ready text. It was the first one we ever stayed in in CL. And it’s a wonder we ever returned. It’s the dreaded 5171. That room is one reason I hesitate to ask for a room “close to the lounge”. It’s the first water view room right next to the lounge prep room. No need to EVER set an alarm. You are woken up @ 6:53 every morning by clanking carts of dinner ware, followed by the filling of ice from the ice machine. During the day, you get treated to banging doors, loud voices of people going to the lounge. And all day long you’re treated to the mechanical whirr of the nearby elevators. We originally were staying at YC for the whole week but ended up only there for 4 nights. If it would have been all week I would have asked for a different room at check in. And in the future it will be on my Never Again list. The only redeeming quality is it is thisclose to the lounge. Very convenient for a quick lemonade.

As if that wasn’t enough fun, the AC went out sometime Wednesday. I noticed it wasn’t as cold as usual when we returned for the afternoon but didn’t think much about it. Til we got back to the room at 11pm. It was obvious there was no AC or fan working. We dealt with it overnight because I wasn’t gonna wait for someone to come at 1 am. I left the bathroom fan running which helped with the humidity in the room. We had to ask the CL CMs twice to get someone to come. But whatever he needed to do solved it & we had cool air again in 5 minutes.

Hoping RPC will be spectacular!

Bummer about the room. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you and RPC. At least you can enjoy and food and bev’s.

There’s been a little chatter here about Portofino so a little sidenote- it’s now an AT&T Dead Zone. I thought it was me and went down to the front desk for a paper clip to pop out my SIM for a cellular refresh but the desk clerk told me he has had the same issue for a little while and it’s just AT&T at least their wifi at Portofino worked fine!

So I've never stayed in CR Tower CL, I just booked a standard-King Club Level room, it didn't say Atrium on it so I assumed it was Tower? Could only get 3 of my 4 nights, one night was really hard to find for rooms, and if I added my first day (or first and second day) nothing good was available (and I'm not staying in a pirate room at CBR). So weird, second day through the end is available, first day alone is available for different rooms, but add the first night to any other nights and nothing good....or it's a multi room suite which I don't need as a solo traveler. Just excited to get to try that one since I only got 2 night with my dauther in Atrium CL in June. My other room is a garden wing at CR, I'll be at MNSSHP anyway so I'm ok with no CL first night, I just won't get settled in.

Ack, DH and I were in 5171 in early 2020. It was really annoying. That reminds me - include “not 5171 or 5145” (the room on the other side/corner - not as bad, but still a bad bet) in my room request. Enjoy RPC!

Mnsshp was a huge success ! Saw. Both parades , Sandersons , Fireworks, rides n treats!

Only down side ?? No food ?? Yikes I was hungry !

Yeah, I figured as much, but knowing my brain I don't always trust my memory. My internet isn't wanting to actually show any pictures for the last month (they are working on moving lines underground in our area, and for some reason it has really weakened our signal, which is why I haven't been frequenting the boards much since it doesn't want to load half the time). Hopefully soon I can re-remember the room since I know I've seen the pictures, but it just shows up as big white boxes right now (on every website, not just this one).

Glad you had a good time! What’s up with the food situation? I saw cosmic rays is open late but not much else? Are there snack carts open? I’m worried about the food situation too. I made a 430 res at skipper canteen but really didn’t want a sit down.

I’ll caveat this by saying it ultimately really doesn’t matter… but my recommendation would be to request 4911. There are only two… 4911 and 4912, both right next to each other. They are basically the same rooms but the bathrooms are configured a little differently...I prefer 4911’s bathroom. 4911 is the first from the lounge and next to the stock room so there is a chance of some noise, but I personally don’t find it bothersome. If you are overly sensitive about noise, 4912 may be a better request. But overall, slicing the onion pretty thin with my comments, so I wouldn’t overthink it.

Since there isn’t any other king available for these dates I’m guessing I’ll just end up in which ever room gets vacated that day. At least it’s just me on this trip, so whatever I get I’m sure will be fine for me. Just excited for a bit of a less hectic lounge, and the views

They have food at different places, mostly snack type stuff though. A friend of mine went this past week and was trying all the party exclusive food, and had dinner at cosmic rays, but her parents went with her kids for a dinner at BOG during the party around 8. I personally wouldn’t want to take that time out, and she didn’t either which is why she and her husband didn’t join them, but she did say her husband hardly ate anything because he was just so excited to do all the things so didn’t want to stop to eat and miss anything. I can see how it would be easy to just not eat if you do all the things during the party.

No pictures from the lounge foods today. We had breakfast at Capr May Cafe & dinner at space 220. But I checked the dinner apps.. the beef & mashed potatoes, pulled pork sliders, chicken nuggets, cold was a seafood roll with shrimp & ?, crab maybe? . Plus Greek salad, and the usual veggies, cheeses, crackers & dips.

And again, even tho there isn’t “lunch”, the snacks were varied & plentiful. Lays & aunt Vickeys chips, pita chips, good fish, Cheetos & animal crackers. Veggies & dip.. asparagus, cucumbers, celery, carrots, 3 different kinds of cookies. And the same snack/ bread loaf from breakfast, today was orange loaf. POG juice only oIt with breakfast. And the ice cream freeezer with Mickey ice cream sandwiches & frozen fruit bars.

Desserts were the cookies, chocolate cupcakes, cannoli, gluten
free brownies (very good) & a chocolate moose cake. Probably something else I’m forgetting. Plus of course, the ice cream treats are also available.

BTW, I noticed when we came in at 11 last night, both lounge doors were closed & lights out. So it doesn’t seem like coffee or beverages are available overnight now. I didn’t try the doors, but I’m pretty sure they were locked by the looks of it.

Actually heard a dog barking in the hall this afternoon, but I did hear the woman quieting him. There were quite a few kids noisy in the hall at the same time, so I’m sure that set the dog off as he passed them. The people we have seen with dogs have waited to get on an elevator & did not get on with other guests.
