Hi all - wondering if anyone can help to answer a question for me. We have AKL CL booked from Aug 30-Sep 5. We called today to make a payment and the cast member said that there will not be any club amenities available and that the lounge would not be open. Has anyone else heard this? He said the earliest CL that is opening is GF on Sept 16. I am not sure why they would let us book club level if there are no benefits. Please let me know if anyone has any insights. Thanks in advance!

I don't think anyone knows at this point, there have been conflicting CM reports on this, but since they have been letting people book CL at CL prices I would hope that this CM is just misguided (as I have had a lot of really misguided phone CMs recently, this wouldn't be unlikely, but you never know). If a CM told me this I would demand a lower fee for the room right then and there, why would they charge CL prices and then not offer CL services? If you get there and there are no services then I would go to the front desk and demand a compensation to the rate of a regular non-CL savannah room. At this point though, no one really knows unfortunately.

Yeah, it’s gonna be hard to get a firm answer, that’s the main reason I didn’t move my reservation over there. I know it’s tough, was hoping to have some solid CL for this trip but I didn’t want to bank on it with CMs giving mixed messages. Good luck!

I spoke with a guest services CM about AKL CL a couple of days ago. She said CL will be open as the resort opens.

Edited to add: She said the club lounge will have limited capacity, so you may need to wait to go in during peak times.

The cast members we talk to on the phones still don't know and should not be giving out definite yes or no comments. They're not allowed to say "I don't know" but they can say "It has not been announced."

I most likely was talking with the same cast member you were. If so, she is rather informed about what is going on at Jambo... however we are still to take any info passed on as rumor only as it still is not officially announced.

ime early breakfast and all of happy hour is a peak time so I hope they have this figured out in advance. Wouldn't be too happy trying to get to a park and they tell me to come back in half an hour.

Hope that is in addition to...regular service. Unless they want to refund me some money. Then I will take the prepackaged danish with a I really don't have a problem if they feel they cannot conduct a typical CL lounge but don't charge for it. And don't move me to AKL or WL

I booked regular room at BWI for first the part of our stay and I'm glad I did. I don't like waiting until the last minute to see what I am going to get.

I'll be in RPC...just sayin... We are on the fence about going though, not because of the cost, which is beyond scary, but because of the other stuff going on....I'm not willing to risk getting sick if things don't calm down by then.

I would love to hang out with you in RPC, and I still haven't canceled the reservation so who knows where I'll end up for sure; however, since I will be in RPC the week before Christmas, and staying at CR would give me a weekend at AKL CL (if indeed it is opening when the resort opens as I was told by DSS recently) then CR will probably win...even though I really dislike the new decor and I have my fears concerning lounge capacity there. I have to admit that I'm getting concerned about the recent Delta variant explosion we've been having in our country too! I hope it calms down soon! If we do all get to go for the 50th, we plan to eat at Narcoossee's one night so hopefully we can at least visit for a bit before or after !

Although we just got the school calendar today and there are some significant events 10/1. I was already pushing things with taking a day off school - something we don’t really do, or only do sparingly - so the events don’t help help my case. Don’t they know I have Disney things to tend to on 10/1?!?!?

For $350 I I’ll walk from outer building to main and check in for my new room and have breakfast! If Francisco is there he lets me leave my bags in the 4th floor against the wall in the corner if I put a note on it Then dd and I will run to the parks and be back for soup I hope. They better have my soup !@&#%

I arrive late 28th the lounge will be closed.
