Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Hi! Thinking about staying Club Level at Boardwalk early next year. I've stayed Club Level at Yacht Club, but I want to know how the Boardwalk compares before switching. Thanks :)

Boardwalk has a great CL even compared to Yacht, they'd be neck and neck on my rank list. I don't think you'll be disappointed. If you have kids they have a "candy buffet" that basically lit their little eyes up. We were in a deluxe room (it was a surprise upgrade) so not behind the innkeeper door and that was just fine.

This post just made me so happy when reading. Feelings of analyzing club level like it's pre-covid times. FEELS GOOD TO BE BACK! (yeah, yeah, it's gonna take basically a million years before any of us actually get to go back BUT STILL!)

Oh ok that’s good to know, hopefully it is just temporary. Although, I did think with them taking away BPK for Villas they may just use Sugarloaf as another outer building of rooms. 🤷🏻‍♀️
Happy Anniversary! Hope it all works out for this year and you get to celebrate in RPC!
Thank you! We had a lot of nice plans and were very disappointed that we had to cancel.

I thought of that too and think they will bring back CL to SL at some point since it's very popular. It's only a guess though I don't have any cm information on that one way or the other.

I can't imagine physical distancing and masks will be required in September...Orange County will be removing them tomorrow; I know Disney moves along at a snails pace, but I doubt they will be even this slow to remove those restrictions.

I would have thought Universal and Disney would go hand in hand in keeping restrictions or making changes to keep up with each other, but it seems Universal is a step or two ahead of Disney. My DH & I just returned last night from a 2 night stay at HRH CL and there were no mask requirements anywhere. The CMs were wearing masks, but there were no signs requiring guests to have them. While there were a few guests here and there wearing masks, the vast majority were not. Needless to say, it was great not having to remember to put on a mask when entering the hotel, shops, restaurants, etc.

Grand CA CL has been confirmed by Disney to be opening tomorrow. The category has been bookable for a while and current guests will be allowed to modify/upgrade reservations. The Veranda was specifically called out as being available to club level guests with refreshments throughout the day.

Fwiw... while not a huge footprint, GCH CL has big windows after the remodel that line one long side of the rectangular room as well as a balcony so maybe that's part of the reason Disneyland felt ok opening it. I recall the windows make it so the space can got a decent breeze going through it a couple years back.

I'm very curious how Disney will deal with those few entitled guests that don't respect personal space, the size of which has grown substantially over the last year for obvious reasons.

Also, it helps to note that while we're opening everything back up, Covid is still out there and is just as deadly to those who are not inoculated against it. We need to keep the respect for each other going.

The fact that Poly is not included in the resorts with an opening date confirms my suspicions that not all buildings/rooms will be finished by the reopening date there. That and the fact that Poly booked up so quickly but has started to release more rooms.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they scheduled Hawaii to be the last longhouse to get the refurb because they figured CL probably wouldn’t be back yet. That said, I also wouldn’t be surprised if they announce the reopening of CL at Poly once they have a better sense of when Hawaii will be done and they can confidently open it for new reservations.

What is the Verandah?

Maybe they used the 50th Anniversary "everything old is new!" WDW PR team :rotfl2:

Probably. It seemed like they were implying there would be more places where refreshments would be available, due to distancing requirements. I thought the Verandah was some special outdoor area exclusively for CL guests. LOL.

We stayed CL at the GCH many moons ago, but I don't recall it being called The Verandah. I thought it was called the Craftsman Club back then?

We had WL CL scheduled to begin 9/26. I am surprised it won’t be open till December. Our TA will be calling tomorrow to see if we can switch to the Contemporary CL...but the price for WL CL was sooo much cheaper...not fair! LOL! Thai is how I convinced my hubby to book it! We have a split stay switching to the Contemporary main tower, but not club level, starting on 9/30.

If we get Contemporary CL for the first part of the trip, I am guessing they will make us change rooms when we switch to non CL on the 30th.

Speaking of split stays... will Bell Services still move your luggage from one resort to the other, or has that stopped with Covid? Thanks!

So... something is up with this...

I follow @disneyparks on twitter and they tweeted the article about CL this morning with the dates. Jackie then followed that up shortly thereafter with a DIS article with the same info.

Well, the @disneyparks tweet has been deleted, and the article on their website has also been deleted. So I'm wondering if it has been posted in error or taken down for revision or what...

Hmmm...
Placing bets.
I think the notes about the other resorts to be announced at later dates needed to be reworded.

For Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort, Disney anticipates those three lounges will reopen at a later date.

if club level really is opening up tomorrow, despite my previous post, does anyone know what time the rooms go
"live" online for booking?

Sort of interesting to me the CLs reopening are the smaller ones by room count, generally speaking.

Places like Poly, GF-SL, BC, YC are among the larger CLs by room count, places like BWI, CR, and WL are materially smaller. GF-RPC has a smallish standard room count but numerous suites, also a very large lounge. GDT has a lot of CL rooms, but a big lounge as well.

I’m sure other influences are involved as well, just talking out loud.
