Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

I just booked a standard view CL room at BWI for June 11-18 with the AP discount. The website states it is 40% off. My total for just the room was $3491. I couldn’t get the system to price a room with no discount, kept getting an error message, but I think my total works out to 40% off rack rate. Rack rate is $739 per night.

I’ve not stayed BWI yet. I tried to convince my family to try a deluxe room, but they protested the lack of a second bathroom, so we booked two rooms at BC. This is a trip for my oldest daughter’s 16th birthday. She knows where we’re staying but I’m hoping to keep CL a secret.
Oh, nice! I know my kids just love CL, the endless food is very attractive to them. When I called for the regular discount they added a graduation surprise for my DD24 who is graduating from a master's program- so we will have little surprise, too!

I really think I need to get that AP. The regular room discount was only 25%. With the cost of the deluxe room it will easily pay for it (rack rate for the deluxe is over $1K for 5 ppl), and then there are the other perks.....

I'm sold. Thank you!

Update on the reserved Poly CL area from last night, very well managed and a wonderful amenity. They served champagne and apple cider for a midnight toast, nothing before the show. But it’s a quick walk up to the lounge for a beverage if needed. They keep the lounge open until midnight on 12/31 (not on 12/30 though) with the normal drinks and evening dessert service.

I have a Garden View room this trip so having this spot was great.

View from fourth or fifth row of chairs.

Happy New Year everyone.
We were at the studios and loved the roped off section for regular poly guests! The beach area was so empty with the non poly guests having to stand behind us on the sidewalk was kinda nice lol.

It was good to see you and ds again!

For others I will post when i can on poly thread my studio stay . I have to say it was awesome for a holiday. We basically hung out at poly and gf back and forth for meals n such.

I just booked GF split Sl/RPC for memorial weekend with AP. Nice to get these rates so early!

I just wanted to belatedly thank you guys for your helpful responses! We're sticking with the Contemporary! I bolded some of your reasons that factored in! With a 14yo and a 12yo, the room size and daybed will be great! The walking distance to MK was also a factor in talking my husband into leaving a day earlier so we can do MK DAH! Plus, it's really the best of both worlds as it's something that's a "known entity" for me since I've stayed there, but new and exciting for them since they haven't. I was surprised, but my husband wasn't really tempted by switching - he is really excited to try CR! We leave in a couple of weeks, but at this point it's all a surprise to the kids - and I'm going to try to keep the resort part a secret as long as I can, although they will probably figure it out when we get in line for Disney's Magical Express! They will probably will figure out our general destination when they see me packing Disney shirts...But anyway, thanks! I think writing it out and seeing your responses helped me realize what @GADisneyDad14 was saying - my gut was definitely saying stick with CR!

Sounds like an awesome trip! Have a great time! :wizard:

In a few days, we are heading to BWI CL in a Garden Cottage and I am starting to do my happy dance! :cool1:

I love BWI CL! Have a great time! :yay:

Just added a day to our July GF SL reservation :hyper:

Congrats on adding an extra day :jumping1:.

I think I'm two weeks away from departure today and I am not prepared! I need to get my act together!

Everything will come together! Have a great time :goodvibes.

I'm so happy! I was able to get the summer discount this morning and book BWI CL and Poly CL for July 4th holiday. I have always wanted to stay at Poly CL for July 4th and we finally get to do it this year!! Super excited!!
:love::love::love::love::love:

How exciting!! Hope you have a great trip. Enjoy the rest of your planning :).

My play is to just hang out at the resort all day on the 4th and hopefully get a cabana for part of the day. Can't wait!!

Sounds like a great plan to me! :cloud9:

I was able to apply the pass holder discount to our reservation in May, and it saved us almost $1,400!! I’d say that is a score!!!

Congrats, that's a great savings! ::yes::

Congrats to your daughter! I think CL will work well with teenagers, as they are old enough (and I trust them), to do their own thing while I’m wrangling a 7-year-old. I would have just taken the older girls, but I think my husband would have rioted if I left him with our other three kids. Besides, the older kids will undoubtedly outlast me at the parks, or want to separate and have some freedom, so at least I’ll have company.

We either rent a car or use a car service and always do 2 hours in advance, although I’ll caveat that we do curbside luggage check-in, have TSA pre-check, Clear, etc - all of those shave some time here and there. We probably cut things closer than other flyers would be comfortable with, but it’s our choice/preference. I know this sounds whiny but sitting around the airport too long makes me cringe - I do enough of that in real life.

We just left WDW yesterday and our car service also suggested we book something more than 2 hours but still gave the 2 hour option. We stuck with the 2 hours.

The airport did seem pretty busy at that particular moment in time, although not crazy. Although I’m always very thankful for Pre-Check at MCO.

Obviously YMMV!

Welcome back, hope your trip was amazing (the fireworks view certainly looked to be)! Thank you for your thorough reply. We don’t have Pre-Check but will be checking our bags at the resort prior. I know two hours was more than enough a year ago when security was supposedly pretty hairy, but I wasn’t sure of how things are at MCO recently. Hope to see a trip report from you in the future- always love to check them out!

Ok, I just got the AP discount on my room! I'm still saving about $500 even WITH the upgrade to the annual pass.
The nice CM said I just had to buy an AP before I show up to check-in, but not to wait too long because prices will probably go up.

And my wait time on the phone was still less than two minutes when they SAID it would be over 20 minutes, so if you need anything start with DSS first and let them transfer you over. I really do think it's a phone fastpass :-)

Edit: Actually, I'm saving a lot more than that by the time the tax is thrown in, they tax you after the discount is applied.

Makes me wonder, they released Free Dining for dates July 5th through September 30th made me wonder if that was a hint of some sort if they are more confident of a SWGE opening date.

In 2018 and again for 2019, all of October and the 1st half of November have been excluded from the Bounceback room discount calendar. (I don’t follow the free-dining offers.) While I would love to think SWGE will have an October or November opening, my money is on December as the earliest we’ll see the new land opening.

I have been dropping hints to my husband about getting annual passes. From my calculations, as long as we get at least 2 week long trips in within a year, the AP is cheaper than buying tickets for each trip separately. Now hearing about these awesome discounts has me even more intrigued! We typically stay deluxe, so what is a usual AP discount for the summer months?

True, this a GP offer though and none of the typical late November or mid December dates were included, who knows, but if they (Disney) do know that could be a reason for higher than normal rates across the board, theoretically.
