Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Hello Stranger!!! Some things never change (but change alot, LOL)!! :rotfl:

How exciting about the cruise!!! We finally did a cruise last year and loved it!
Hey! how are you and your new little one?! So exciting that you guys did a cruise and loved it! Our first cruise was the Halloween cruise on the Fantasy Oct 31, 2015 -- hubby and I stayed concierge on the Fantasy and absolutely fell in love with it! Can't wait to be back again for our Eastern Caribbean trip this November :) LOL on the R'changing ways.... they are the same ol, same ol..... lol must have driven my poor TA batty, I am sure but she's helping me stay planted when I get my crazy ideas. I think for this trip since my boys will be 21/25 -- finally USA legal drinking age and have the oldest's gf along, we want to stay in the Epcot area so they can go off on their own if they like, it's more in the action for them and access to their favourite parks (Epcot / DHS) can't get any better...... Also that beautiful pool!! Really think it is the best place for us this trip :)

For breakfast, they have big containers of coffee out (both regular and decaf). I am not 100% sure of the type, but it's delicious and one of my favorite parts of staying Poly CL. For evening desserts they have smaller carafs out. The nespresso machine is always available. That machine is really more for espresso drinks than coffee, I'm not sure it actually makes a full cup (if it does, I could never figure it out).

The lounge does not offer the Kona press.

The room service menu I have from Feb lists a pot of Joffreys coffee in its beverage offerings, it does not mention the Kona press.

Hope that helps!

Yes, thanks very much!

This is a Poly CL question. Does the lounge only offer coffee in the nespresso machines? Is the Kona pressed pot ever offered? If not, I suppose I can order it via room service and maybe enjoy it in the lounge. Anyone do this?

No pressed pot option. You'll have to order it via room service. The coffee in the lounge is either Nespresso or the usual Joffrey's French roast brewed.

Sounds perfect! :cloud9:

We only did a 4 night on the Dream and definitely want our next trip to be a 7 night on the Fantasy! Just have to get the timing right.

The kids are all doing great!! DS is 2, and is a mad man! A lovable mad man, but all boy nonetheless.

My oldest is going to be a teenager at end of April...what is happening!?!?!

Also, about the Tower Club king standard rooms: they are a maximum occupancy of 2 people. They do not have a pullout couch or anything like that like the Atrium Club rooms do.

So a relative just booked CR through Disney with a military discount. The only room category available was 'Standard room - King - club level'.

Does this mean they are going to be on 14? or are there king rooms on 12? Asked the CM who booked it but they did not know.

I am not an expert by any means and don't have first hand experience with this, but to my knowledge the only "bookable" King Bed CL rooms are the two on the 14th floor on this map. There are kings on 12 but not bookable. So I 'think' they will be on 14! But don't get their hopes up in case I'm wrong. :-)

Yeah I thought it was weird that they only had 1 CL category available. CM was very clear, 'this is a king room' and it says king room on MDE. I didn't know about the 'bookable' aspect but that makes sense. They would be fine with either floor.

I saw a post from 2016 where the person booked a military rate and was assigned 14th floor so maybe that is something they do.

Got a call later today from Disney Signature Services (which is kind of a new consolidation of all the Concierge help desks) and asked them this question.... they said that even after we check out at 11am we still have access to the WL club level for the rest of the day including dinner/hors d'oeuvres... so we're good.

Hope you have a great trip :goodvibes.

Your plan sounds totally doable, your band should still give you access to the WL CL floor for evening appetizers. I 'THINK' I have read of experiences where people checked into the second hotel which may deactivate your band from accessing the first hotel, but I'm not totally sure about that. Maybe someone can opine. That would be a technical error if it happens, you have full access to the lounge that evening regardless.

Your park tickets shouldn't have any impact on the above, to my knowledge. Using your park tickets doesn't "check you in" to POR.

Thanks for confirming what I was thinking. I have also read reports of people losing lounge access once they checked into the 2nd resort, so I wasn't sure just how it worked now :).

I've done a lot of studying up on Tower/14th floor and recently called to inquire about booking up there. I've found some CM's know exactly what you're talking about with those rooms and room options, some have no clue. I'm fairly certain given what you describe they will be in one of those two rooms, but again, small caveat in case I'm not corrrect. Sounds like fun for them though!

Lounge:
Food was basically unchanged all four days, and the evening snacks were "meh". Chicken skewers every night I think, and the second hot app (yes only two) was pigs in a blanket or mac and cheese bites. Where did my Grapefruit Bier go (insert sobs...)

Someone I know is there now and so far the past three nights the hot app has been salmon, 'shaved' beef and then....skewers, with the other hot choice being pigs in a blanket. Next night was pulled pork over polenta, seared tuna and mac and cheese balls, next night, beef with horseradish cream sauce.

Maybe they are reading this thread.

'Clueless' was my original description but it sounded mean so I edited it :rotfl2:

Lol, too funny. Although I don't really blame the CMs, it's probably more the training and computer systems that leave some unprepared to deal with the weird details of something like CL at CR, which is odd given the 12th/14th floor setup, different options on the website vs. when you call, etc.

With Tower Club/14th floor, I have the benefit of researching all the ins/outs on here, I'm looking at a floor plan, I know the rooms types, etc. I call... talk to a CM... all they see is things like "Club Level" and "King Bed" or "1-BR Suite". I don't think they see words like Tower Club or 14th Floor in their system?? It seemed like the CMs had very little practical info to me, but I could be wrong. When I was calling them (which was in the last month or so), I went through a few CMs before I found someone who truly seemed confident in the room types up there, and that was only because she had personal experience staying there.

Sorry for the long post, just happens to be fresh on my mind!

It's definitely 14. Anything on 12 is listed as Atrium Club. Everything on 14 is listed as Club Level.

Definitely on 14. We booked that room in Dec 15. The map above shows the 2 rooms: 4911 & 4912. At first I thought the "standard king" meant we'd be in a standard view room & I really wanted theme park view. Got really excited after research showed me it actually had a theme park view. Got a magical upgrade to a 2 bedroom suite on arrival. Only problem: lake view not theme park view. I was thrilled & disappointed at the same time! So now I need to plan another stay at CR so I can book that king standard club room again. :thumbsup2

Hope your relatives have a great time!

We called just for the heck of it as it seems there aren't that many military discounts. When she looked up the room, she did say, 'I'm not sure how many we have left I would book this now'. I know they always like you to book but she seemed more certain. When we called back we got another CM who didn't seem as knowledgeable.

To book basically any room on 14, you have to call and tell them EXACTLY what you want. The CMs aren't particularly knowledgeable about Tower Club in general, so it helps to call and say you want a room at CR "on the Club Level floor, not Atrium Club." Yes, they're both CL, but the booking codes technically list them totally differently.

There are 2 king standard rooms, both theme park view. When you book these, the CM will tell you that they cannot guarantee the view, but both room are TPV so don't worry. There are 3 double Queen standard rooms, one TPV, two Bay Lake view. You cannot guarantee the view with these. It's 100% luck of the draw.

Hope this helps.

Our only request was 'military discount for CR CL'. She told me 'the only standard room I have is a king'.
