Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Can someone who has stayed in YC CL recently tell me what fruit and cheese was offered in the evening? We stayed a few years ago and I remember Brie and Gouda, figs, dried apricots. However we recently stayed at GF SL and got cheddar cheese cubes and grapes. I was not impressed. We had other issues too. If these cuts are across the board at all CL then I'm cancelling my upcoming stay

I can't answer, but I'm bumping your post in case others are able to help :flower3:.

Hi! We are finally getting to stay at the poly August 14-17 in a GV CL room. I am super excited! I have always wanted to stay here since I was a little kid. I have a couple questions though. First, are you still able to watch fireworks from the beach? Do they still pipe in the music? Or is the beach completely closed?
Second, we won't be leaving till later at night on check out day (around 7pm). We planned on going to the park till about 2pm then getting a snack before we have to leave. Are we able to get a soda and snack from the lounge that afternoon, even if we had checked out that morning? Or will our magic bands no longer allow us in after we check out?
Third, there are 4 of us, myself ,DH, DD 8, and DS 6. Any room requests we should ask for? I don't want the second floor due to lack of balcony, but otherwise I am not sure what to ask for. Should I be close to the lounge or far away? How long is the walk from one end to the other?
Sorry for all the newbie questions.
Thanks for all the help!

Your questions have been answered, but I wanted to say I hope you have a great trip! The Poly is an amazing resort, you're going to love it :goodvibes.

But as for the use of the lounge - you can use it all day on your check out day - plus the lounge never closes.

:thumbsup2

Enjoy - we will be there after you. We can't wait too.

Hope you have a great trip :wizard:.

We will be checking in tomorrow CL LV and I'll let you know how it goes! As far as prior trips, we've always received our 1st floor request and we're hoping for same tomorrow. We've been given 1503 a few trips in a row, so we're curious to see what we get tomorrow. We've been at BWI CL the last few nights and while the food has been outstanding, we're super excited to get to POLY!

Hope you're having a nice time at BWI. Enjoy the Poly :).

I seem to remember a cheddar-like cheese (buttercase) and a smoked gouda. There were figs and apricots on the trays.

Sorry, can't remember anything in particular on cheeses besides that.

sorry for the delay! i still don't get any email notifications from the DIS. I will take you off right now. I had to cancel my July trip as well. Hoping to sneak something in maybe early August. Life is so crazy for me right now.
Thank you!! Hope things settle down for you! We are booked for the Disney Dream in October and plan to go down a few days early for MNSSHP. I also plan to sneak in a trip before school starts for the kids. Thanks again!!

For NYE if we are staying at the Poly CL with a TPV would it be a good view to see the fireworks from our balcony or will it be better to be in the park or down at the beach. I read where the Poly has piped in music. If I stay on our balcony could we hear it? tia :flower3:

Does anyone have experience using Kids Night Out or another babysitter while using CL? I have my twins booked for Lilo's playhouse but we are just two months away now and my daughter refuses to not wear pull-ups. Little stinker. I was wondering if they would let the care provider take them to the lounge. I also was wondering if they would let them order room service and charge it to the room, or if I should take care of that ahead of time. We are staying at the Poly. Thanks!

Thank you all for the quick replies. We are super excited. It will be a surprise for the kids. They have been before but never something like this. They always love the monorail and have asked to stay at one of the resorts. I hope we can watch wishes from the beach, but if not, the lounge looks like an awesome alternative.

Can anyone tell me when the last renovation was to AKL CL?
I know the lounge was just done, but wondering about the rooms

Hi CL peeps! Well, we are full fledged crazy and just booked a last minute Poly CL trip. Dates are 7/23-7/30, @TigrLvsPooh, please add us to the date list if you have a free second (thank you!). For a variety of reasons we've been holding off planning a "second half" summer vacation and the stars aligned to make this work out.

We've booked several trips in the 3-6 month range but never this close. Frankly I've been pleasantly surprised at room, FP, and dining availability even three weeks out. I keep reading that crowds are down a bit this summer, I hope that continues! I've spent the last two days planing/making reservations and other than the Frozen ride I've been able to come up with a perfectly acceptable schedule - happy camper here.

DW and I have a general agreement that we wouldn't take DD to Disney until she was at least three, but we're throwing that plan in the trash and this trip will be all four of us. I'm frankly a little bit nervous because she's a total handful compared to DS, but heck, how bad can it be? DD turns 2 the day we arrive, so we're going to try to make it a memorable one.

I was debating hard on whether to give BC CL a try because we are very much pool/resort people, but alas I couldn't let go of Poly and I want to see the new "quiet" pool area.

Excited to have a trip planned, so pumped!

here now sitting in our LV Hawaii room watching all the people accumulating on the beach. We saw a kid playing near the fence and a CM had to go tell him and the parents to move away. Otherwise kids and people are freely on the beach. We just now saw a CM approach people sitting in the grass here in front of Hawaii and say something to them and they all stood up and I think they'll be moving.

Hey TJA - hope you're having a great trip. Your pics are great. Enjoying the 4th (and 3rd) vicariously through your pics!

Thanks - and I'm so happy to read you guys booked a trip to Poly! Honestly, we loved BC CL for many years, but Poly has that something special that is hard to describe. You obviously can relate. Irv is still here...he said he was laid off for 2 months during cutbacks but is now back to normal hours.

That's great to hear about Irv. He always keeps me well "hydrated" if you know what I mean and has always been so nice to (picky eater) DS. Frankly it's CMs like Irv that keep us coming back to Poly CL. BC is definitely on our list when the kids get older, for now with DD still napping and having an early bedtime, it was hard to stray from what we know. Some day!

Just got our room here at Poly LV and we got our first floor request near lounge. I'm sitting on our patio right now and I can honestly say there is nothing that compares to this!

You look close if not next door to our room 1503.. It was great and we could see the castle just between the first and second bungalow.

I also just found out my friend is in the bungalows right now! So jealous!

Yes I remember you had 1503 right after we did! We were in 1503 our last 3 trips. Right now we are close but not exact. I think all 4 of us have scanned our bands on 1503 at least once each so far - lol!

How are the food and beverage selections in the lounge? Someone mentioned cider in the lounge - is it true? My husband absolutely loves hard cider. Does someone pour the cordials, or is it serve yourself? It sounds like they reversed some of the cutbacks - I'm very glad to hear it.
