Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

I can't wait to get to the Innkeepers club next month. I'm currently at RPC waiting for DME wishing I booked any other CL. I'll report when I get home.

I'm sorry you didn't have a good experience in RPC, but glad you were able to try it.

Our trip was awesome despite any disappointment at RPC. It's all good :)

Glad you had a nice trip overall. Sorry about RPC being disappointing :(.

We just got a call we have a garden view king bed room on club level at beach club ... They wouldn't tell me the room number but that it was close to the lounge on same floor as lounge ...... I looked online and can't find a king bed club level room ..... Any help with the room at beach club would be appreciated ..... And I do know it has a balcony ;)

:worried: So truly sad about this. Sorry it didn't turn out to be as you expected/hoped. I do appreciate your honesty and will look forward to hearing all about it. I'm very curious about the food offerings because we've stayed at BC CL for many years and earlier this year we were pleasantly surprised that the food had changed/improved, also the BWI offerings are changing/improving, so I'd really hope RPC isn't going the other way!!

For my room request, the only thing I have listed is "not 2nd floor room." I think that's where you were? and from what I've read it isn't the most convenient.

Have a safe trip home and glad you still had a great trip!
The "not second floor" was my only request lol

Hi all,
When staying CL at Polynesian, if your room is not ready upon arrival and you want to store your carry on luggage while heading to a park, are they able to do that in Hawaii? Or would we have to take everything to GCH?

The "not second floor" was my only request lol
That would be a big problem for me since I hate the second floor rooms! Do you know if theses are considered TPV categories? Your making me really nervous for our upcoming trip. I know we will be on vacation and at Disney and I generally can just roll with things but with the amount of money being paid for these rooms if I get placed in the second floor rooms that are to me so out of the way and should be heavily discounted, I will be one very unhappy customer.

It's been a bit since I've stayed there. But you will have to store your luggage at Bell services at GCH.

I keep trying to post a quick review, but my laptop is not loving me today LOL. The Deluxe King rooms do not have an assigned view category. I was told it is considered a MK view. I am sorry if I am making you nervous, I don't mean to. It's just I hyped up staying at RPC for years, so it hit me hard. It isn't all about the food for me it's the magic. The CMs and offerings were not magical is all. I will say the CMs do give preference to repeat guests, hugs, smiles, all that. So it was weird to not get that same level of TLC when you see others getting it.

Plus the guests in bathrobes, swimsuits, kids grabbing at food. It was tolerated there. The lounge and the views were divine. The elevator service, don't get me started. One day the main RPC elevator was broken and the next our elevator. So from the 2nd floor your only choice was the fire stairwell. Not good! My problem with everything was no one notified us, a phone call would go a long way. Even when we checked in, no one reminded me you can only take the back elevator to our room. I was almost in tears trying to get to the room. Not even an apology, just "It happens all the time". UGH.

Here's my new CL favorite ranking.

4th floor lounge and view from our table image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg Those were the breakfast offerings, there was soy milk and chocolate milk in a carafe as well. Yes, they have small Dasani water for the parks. They had Sprite zero which made my DH happy.
Erika they are still doing FP via text at the Grand :)

So I've been back from our latest trip where we stayed CR CL, Tower Club (14th floor), for a few days now. I've been hesitant to post too much about our experience here on Disboards, but *only* because I don't want the secret of how ridiculously awesome Tower Club is to get out! :upsidedow
The CMs up there told me when we checked in that Tower Club was consistently ranked highest among CLs with guests, and it didn't take more than a few minutes for me to realize why. The lounge is gorgeous, the entire floor is so quiet you can hear a pin drop even during the "rush hours" first thing in the morning and during supper time, our room was so nice and spacious, and the level of service you get there beat out our previous stay at WL by leaps and bounds (and we truly love WL, don't get me wrong). We only saw maybe two other families in the lounge at the same time we were the entire trip. Often it was just us. And the view from our room of MK.. well, that's self-explanatory. The balconies on the 14th floor are larger than other floors, too, so we could basically camp out there all day and feel comfortable if we wanted to. We went down to the Atrium Club lounge on the 12th floor one evening to take a look and it seemed very nice, but there just wasn't any comparison. Now I'm even more excited about our upcoming May trip back to CR Tower Club! I don't think we'll be able to stay anywhere else from now on.

Ooooh interesting -- thanks!! We've only stayed on the 12 floor Atrium Club and while we enjoyed it (especially the views), we haven't rushed back. So maybe the 14th floor next time!

The "not second floor" was my only request lol

OH no!! That's not good at all. Makes me wonder if they read the request wrong...maybe they thought you wanted the 2nd floor. I can't imagine floors 3 and up were full and everyone else also requested "not 2nd floor"!! So sorry -- I'm going to have to think of a way to word my request differently. Maybe "floor 3, 4, or 5"?? I'm not sure of the layout off the top of my head. We just have a standard RPC room booked, so I'm not sure where our options are. Hopefully not many of those rooms are on the 2nd floor.

Yes, same here, I've hyped up staying at RPC. We also LOVE BC CL....even more so now with the new lounge and refurbed rooms. However, Poly CL became a favorite now that we stay TPV/LV there. Our first trip at Poly CL was garden view and we honestly didn't like it much at all. Decided to try it again, only booked TPV instead and boy were we WOW'd by that view. We still enjoy it very much (even with the bungalows) but the food offerings aren't up to par with BC. In my mind, I was hoping RPC would be a combination of both of them -- the great food like BC now has along with the great view that Poly has.

I know none of this conversation has been directed at me, but I'm going to butt in here and give my $0.02 about RPC deluxe king rooms :rotfl2:, just so maybe some people won't be so scared to book them after hearing all of these bad stories about the second floor rooms. First, to answer the above, the only rooms on the second floor at RPC are the deluxe king rooms, so if you are booked in a standard room you don't have to worry at all about the second floor. It's one row of rooms by iteslf (plus the laundry), 4201-either 4208 or 4209, just above Gasparillas. We stayed in 4207 in Sept 2014, and we requested one of the second floor rooms! That seems so odd after reading recently of how everyone dreads having to get one of them if they are in a Deluxe King room, but I want to reassure people that there are some people out there (us:D) who actually want them (well, except for 4201 because of that darned tree they should get rid of or at least trim!). We decided that having the picture perfect theme park view and balcony was more important to us than the bigger room. I love outdoor space, and was worried that I would really miss the balcony, and my DH was set on having a fireworks view. So after a lot of debate we requested and got the second floor rooms. They ARE slightly inconvenient, you have to take an elevator up 1 floor to get to the lounge. But for us the elevator was almost never used so it came right away, and though we agreed it wasn't ideal we also agreed we thought it was worth it for the view. I do wish there was a set of stairs so you could avoid the elevator, but it is what is it... Also, just to be clear, coming from the main lobby you had to take an elevator to the third or fourth floor, then walk down to the back elevator and go down 1 floor to the second. But for some reason this didn't bother us much, probably because we always just stopped in the lounge to get a snack or grab a drink or diet coke for the room. It is super convenient to Gasparillas and to the pool/grounds, the elevator also goes down and comes out just beside Gasparillas. So you can get to the pool in your suit without going through the lobby, or go that way to get to the boat dock or pool or anywhere else on grounds. So the moral of this story is we stayed in one of the second floor rooms by choice and were happy there, so if you've never stayed in either you might not mind the second floor rooms as much as you think! You have a wonderful view and the extra elevator wasn't that bad :goodvibes

If you have a main building standard booked you will not be on the 2nd floor. Only the king deluxe rooms are on that floor, they were previously referred to as honeymoon rooms and have an occupancy of 3 now. Personally, I would request what you want: quiet location, no connecting door, close to lounge, etc.

Hi all,
When staying CL at Polynesian, if your room is not ready upon arrival and you want to store your carry on luggage while heading to a park, are they able to do that in Hawaii? Or would we have to take everything to GCH?

If you are going to leave the resort you will need to check them with the Bell services at the GCH (out front). We arrived before noon via MDE. Since we had some time before our room would be ready, we checked them in with Bell services, went to Downtown Disney (now Disney Springs). When we received a text a few hours later that our room was ready, we went straight to our room and called bell services for our carry-on bags. When they arrived to deliver them they had both our carry-ons as well as our checked luggage that arrived separately via MDE.

I'm sorry your experience with the CMs wasn't very magical :(. I had the opposite experience as the CMs were always very friendly with smiles/hellos and were very accommodating. We've only stayed 2 other clubs (GF SL and WL CL) and while WL CL was amazing, SL was the one where we didn't feel the magic. Unfortunately, the behavior you mention is tolerated not only in RPC, but other CLs as well :sad2:. I can't speak for BC CL as we've never stayed CL there, but I have seen that kind of behavior in GF SL.

I think it's good you tried RPC and while it wasn't the best experience and probably a CL you won't return to, there are others you love and enjoy :goodvibes. With that said, I hope you have a great stay at BWI CL next month :wizard:.

Thanks for sharing your pics. Not quite the view you'd expect for what you pay for those rooms :sad2:.

We will be at Poly Club Level Aug 13th-20 :)

We are considering that same week at Poly CL :goodvibes.

Me too, chalk one off the bucket list :)

I'm sorry the hear about the RPC. I know you had looked forward to staying there for a long time. But at least you have another trip to look forward to. :)

DH and I have been doing a lot of talking today about our upcoming WL CL trip. Our 60 day window opens in a few days and I had to renew our AP's so we would be ready to select fp's. He already wants to plan a return trip to WL CL even though we haven't been there for the first time yet. ;)

ETA: We were able to customize and ship our Annual Passholder MB's the same day we renewed our AP's, which is today. Last time we renewed the AP's we couldn't get the AP MB's until after we had activated the renewal voucher at the ticket window. It makes more sense to send the MB's when you buy the AP instead of later.
