Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Yes, that helps a lot! Thanks! SOunds like it should work out for us to convert my PH to AP, get a TIW card, and have a wonderful time at the F&W festival...

THen, I'll contact the TA (yes you have the right one) when we get home and have her take PH off for the Dec trip...just don't want to mess up the FPs we already have booked for that trip, so do I need to do anything to be sure my new AP will be linked to that trip too?

One less thing to fret over before out trip next week! We are SOOOOOO ready to get there and be pampered, and try all the great food and beverage options at EPCOT!

Thanks again, everyone!!

You're welcome! You are going to have a great time next week. Hope you will report back after your stay :goodvibes.

Yup totally true, I just decided to upgrade to an AP for my next trip and I have another reservation coming up with said agency for 2016, I emailed my agent and she said they can just drop the tickets from my reservation and change the $$ anytime (up until the 5 days).

Thanks for verifying about deleting the tickets :).

FP are linked to your MDE account, not a specific ticket. The confusion is you have to have ticket media on the MDE account to book FP. But if you have an AP, you are fine. That's why you don't loose FP when you upgrade the ticket to an AP

This is good to know, thanks for the information :flower3:.

Good morning Club level friends!
Quick question. We are checking in to AKL on Halloween and I have goodies for my kids (probably enough for any other child on CL too) if I leave them with concierge will they put them in our room? We'll be checking in early but understand our room likely won't be ready. Just wanted to make it special for my kiddos!

I can't help, but hopefully others will be able to give a definite answer :wizard:.

You can get in contact with the IPO by Email or phone before you arrive.

Once you you are at the resort, our experience has been that the CL CM's are generally friendly, but not over the top. They are usually helpful with day to day questions or requests. Some days you might not have anything, other days you might want to check with them on something.

This thread is very helpful for answering questions, too.

:thumbsup2

Hi. We are staying at AKL CL in October 2016 so joining in to find out all about it
Thanks
Hi Ruth, Welcome! :welcome:
AKL is amazing, and CL makes it extra nice. This is a great place to ask questions, or get more information. Happy planning! :goodvibes

AHHHH I'm SO ready to get to Disney and start our first CL stay!! I can hardly stand the anticipation. Question for those who have stayed at the YC before: After 10, is the lounge locked up or can we still access it to grab sodas, etc.? We have a few nights we'll be getting back late and since we aren't doing resort mugs, I'm hoping we will still be able to have a drink upon return. If the doors ARE locked after hours, is it frowned upon to take a bunch of sodas back to our room upon arrival to stock up for a few days? Trying to avoid being "those guests" breaking CL etiquette haha!

Congrats on booking your first CL stay! I'm not sure about YC but AK isn't locked but they empty the fridge that you have access to. Best bet is to grab a few earlier in the day and put them in your room :) Hope this helps!

Hi Erin, Welcome:welcome:!
It's been awhile since we stayed at the YC. I'm not sure if it's still locked up at night, when we stayed it was. We usually brought a couple of sodas back to the room once or twice a day and popped them in the frig. It's not frowned upon at all. Hope this helps, and happy planning! :goodvibes

I would hate to say a definite yes to this because it really just depends on how busy and reliable the castmember you talk to is and if there's a shift change and that person tells the next person. Just factoring in human error. What I have done in the past when I have special gifts for my kids is I head to the room first, alone, while they are in the lounge having snacks. Or if we all go to the room together I'd send them back to the lounge shortly after so I can work my magic. pixiedust:

We always keep a few drinks in our fridge for late nights after the lounge is closed. If you are worried about taking too many directly from the lounge fridge you can always ask a castmember to grab you a bunch from the back. :)

Thank you! That's what I'll do!!

We are 25 days from our AKL CL stay. I have never been contacted by the IPO. I booked all our FPP and dining and didn't really need any help so never reached out. Will they contact me before our trip about room requests or do I just do online checkin? This is our first CL stay so not sure what the norm is. Thanks

It's really hit-or-miss for some reason. If you do want something, or would like to make a room request, I suggest that you reach out to them (either by email or phone). At this point I doubt that you will hear from them, but then again as I said it's really hit-or-miss.

I hope you enjoy AKL CL -- it's one of my favorites!

Congrats on booking the rest of your trip! We're doing something very similar, with some WDW on both sides of a DCL cruise. We have done this before and had a great time. I hope you have a great trip!

We didn't use IPO to plan any thing for our recent stay CL st the GF but we received an email and maybe a text before we arrived. We were able to accept texting service. I LOOOOOOVED the texting service during the trips. For an addL fP it was nice but other little things- like canceling a dinner reservation or other stuff was just nice and easy. We really liked it.

As gwynee posted, AKL is amazing! We haven't tried CL there yet, but it gets great reviews. We love AKL and I'm looking forward to trying CL next year. Happy planning :wizard:.

As others have said, you can take pop back to your room and put it in the fridge :).

You will be there before you know it! :yay:

Like mmmears posted, it's hit or miss getting contacted by IPO. You can have your requests noted by calling CRO, but you can also call or email IPO as mmmears suggested. Good luck and I hope you have a great trip :flower3:.

Just checked in at AKL CL. Please tell me a poorly trained CM gave us wrong info. He said our CL privileges will end at 11am on day of check out. This has never been the case before, did something change. Going to get some pics of the chef. What's the best way to post photos?

I certainly hope that was bad information. Having access to the lounge when we have a later flight out is a big deal for my family.

So I LOVE the new chef set up in the AKL lounge. He is making 2 dishes tonight. An African stew and a falafel. Both are really a step up from their previous offerings. You can get them directly from the chef or a CM is coming around with a tray. They added more tables which helps A Lot. One big minus is the children's table. All they have are the apples and caramel so choices are bit limited if you dont have an adventurous eater. oh and those who asked about football. We are watching UGA vs Tenn. right now on a newer, bigger TV than what was previously here. So no reason really to go anywhere else. If anyone has any other questions feel free to ask. Hope to post chef pics soon
