Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

We are staying Poly CL September 7-9. I was told last month by the IPO that the garden side of Hawaii will be closed down during that time. Does anyone know if that is really going to happen?

I'm booked there 9/25-9/27 and they told me on Monday that they had the wall up with the fabric stuff over it to keep it from looking like chain link. The guy I spoke with downplayed the construction view to me, but it doesn't matter in my case as we will be out of the room most of the time.

We're staying CL at the BC in 31 days  and we are planning lots of pool time - is the lounge open the entire afternoon for us to grab drinks and such or will we have to purchase soda, coffee, etc elsewhere?

Thanks!

I've been told by more than one IPO CM that the garden view rooms will be open during construction and that anyone who is booked in a GV CL room WILL be facing the east pool. Someone just posted a picture of their GV CL view over on the Polynesian thread.

I never like to say "never" but I'd say there's a 99% chance that information is wrong. Construction of the new pool is well under way and the fence has been in place for several weeks. I don't see a reason why they would need to close the garden side of the building. Maybe the castmember meant the grounds on the garden side would be closed?? I think you're safe. :)

Makes me think that a ground floor room may be less obtrusive in this case as you'd see the covered fence instead of over it.

The lounge is definitely closed, door locked, between 4:00 and 5:00 PM every day. But you can ask a castmember for a drink and they'll go get you something from the kitchen. :)

Well, now I don't know what to do. Advice please. We are booked Poly CL September 7-9. It was to be a resort vacation with little park time. I knew there would be pool construction but only realized today that work is being down on Hawaii itself. For those currently there, how obtrusive is it? How noisy? We were planning to spend most of the time on our balcony, the lounge, and pool area. Help!

I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but since being banished to the resort community board we aren't getting nearly the same amount of questions or new members. It's a shame really because our knowledge is basically a waste.
I don't know about others but I'm so appreciative of you and others and your vast array of knowledge!! Thank you for helping me!! :flower1:

How in demand are the boardwalk view standard club level rooms? Are room requests typically granted for this? We are staying in a regular BW view room for my dd's birthday in november, and I am thinking of upgrading to club level, especially since I saw that some have large balconies that would actually allow my wheelchair bound (other) dd to enjoy the view as well. I am nervous about upgrading though and then getting a garden view, because my dd's one request was boardwalk with view room for her birthday.

I'd say on average the BWI CL doesn't book up quite as fast as BC CL. But if you're going anytime during Food & Wine or during any marathons or race weekends then it books quickly.

You can request BW view when you book standard CL. I was told they only have a few rooms in that category which face the BW.

We stayed 2 yrs ago and requested it and didn't receive one. You can always ask when you check in also.

My fastpass reservation day is this Tuesday and I am dreading it. Is IPO available to assist with this like they are with ADRs?
