Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

I think that CL is worth an extra $100 a day. I particularly liked YC CL too.
We've had the club level at Yacht Club on several stays. I think it is worth it because of the convenience. The food is ok. It provides a breakfast before the parks. The snacks, horderves, and desserts were constantly missed by us because they close the doors to change the food for the next time of day.Unless it's changed, my biggest gripe was no bottles of water for the room or to take to the park! So, bring yo ur own vessel to fill. We've also stayed without club level and saved a lot of money bringing in our own water, breakfast food, liquor and snacks. It's a choose.

So when AP rates came out I booked TPV RPC. :flower1: It was $1000 a night pretax:sad1:

So I kept looking and last night AP for a gv non cl was $519. For almost $500 a night I can order coffee delivered to bed and eat at Narcoossees every night and $ left over.

So I was thrilled to go back to RPC but sometimes , no it's not worth it.

I was looking at rates for the same time and I think the Sat/Sun rate for Std CL RPC was around $1300/night? o_O (with taxes) I switched over to CR garden wing for two nights and then son got a BB for GV RPC for the rest, which was a lot cheaper. I figured the money saved would pay for our dinners on those nights. It probably paid for our airfare, too :wizard:

Well, it can't hurt to ask. Nice to hear from someone's actual experiences.

Mike
Another option is paying the extra adult fee if you only have 4 or less in your room and the room holds 5.

For $35 it probably worth it.

If you explain situation to CM they may not even charge you if visit is short but at least you won't feel like you are doing anything wrong.

I only stayed at CR resort that one time. As I remember, the elevator was crowded & I did have to tap my band. Other people were on he elevator already when I got on. I don't remember when this family got on, or if they were already on. The tower club is on the 14 th floor & by the time we got there, it was this family of 4 & me. They were chatting with each other as they got off & seemed to know where they were going. I did not think anything of it until I heard the CM ask them to leave. For all I know, they were just on the wrong floor. Heck, we had 2 CMs take us to the wrong floor as we were checking in there. So I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. The CMs were out on the balcony when I got there, so maybe they went back to the elevator, saw the lounge & wandered out there coz there was nobody to stop them? I don't know. My point was that is the only time I have personally experienced someone who doesn't belong there get into the lounge.

And I did say I have read other reports, so I know it is something that can happen. It just isn't something I have run into very often in 20 years of club level stays.

Also, I thought the poster was asking about Poly CL. That is a separate building. If I saw people hanging around the door, waiting for someone else to open it & then they came in after, I think that would be obvious. That would probably make me wonder if they really belonged there.
This is one of the reasons that we enjoy the BWI CL so much. There is a door with a CM sitting at a desk beside it that lets you into the CL rooms and lounge. Part of what we enjoy so much about our CL stays is the fact that it feels comfortable and we feel taken care of by CM that do know our names. Coming from someone that has to be introduced to someone several times before I remember their names, that has always really impressed me!

Club Level DISers!
For future club level guests: Let us know your resort and dates, we'll add you to our upcoming club level guest list! A fun way to see who might be staying with you at the same resort on club level. Maybe even arrange to meet! It's always great to put a face to a name! :goodvibes To be added just PM (Private Message) your trip dates and resort name to TigrLvsPooh (Erika) and I'll get you on the list. :D

Are CL eligible rooms available for DVC reservations? I have never noticed this option when making my reservations before.

There's only two of in our room but I'm not familiar with extra adult fee. What is that.

Mike

We will be moving from PORS to BC CL early in the morning (around 8:30am) on our August trip. We are obviously not expecting our BC room to be ready. Our plan was to grab CL breakfast and head into Epcot for the morning. My question is, where can we leave our backpacks (not wanting to take them into park)? Do we have to leave them with bell services or will CL CM's find a place for them? Also, our luggage will be delivered from PORS- if it comes before we get a room, will CL CM's look after it? BTW- I think it's allowed for us to arrive early and have breakfast from the lounge on our check in day? TIA
When we did a split stay coming from All Star Sports (flight got in late night before) we took a cab over to beach club and also took our luggage. It was very easy. We checked into CL had breakfast left all our belongings that we did not want to take with us and headed to a park. What was nice was when we got back to resort our luggage was there.

For more than two adults in room the extra fees per adult are:
Value resorts - $15
Moderate resorts - $25
Deluxe resorts - $35

Fee does not apply to kids. And it's still cheaper to pay the extra person fees than renting an additional room if people are ok with cramming in.

I think we will actually take a cab / bring our own luggage too. Did you just leave it with Bell Services or did CL CM's put it in another place? Would love to have a room ready for us but definitely not expecting it. It's not our first split stay, but it's our first split stay with CL, so just wondering if it is any different. Thanks for your reply.

We have 4 people in our room this upcoming trip and have a $35 extra charge for our DD19 (not DD16) because she is an adult. So, DH,myself and DD19- a third adult is an extra charge. Last year when she was 18 we paid it at POP, but it was less ($15 as Surgie2 reported).

You will have to leave any luggage or carry on a with bell services. CL has no place to store things for guests.

Thanks to @Surgie2 and @OurLaughingPlace

So the best bet is to ask the cm at desk what to do if you having a guest, "do I need to pay a fee aor aomething?". They may or may not charge you.

FYI for future guests: you can add the adult charge prior to your trip then take off days once there. For example if my adult dd may come for a visit for part of the stay but I don't know when at time of booking but know she needs ME to get to from airport. Just let the cm know the extra adult is arriving late/ leaving early once you are there. They will take off days paid not used.

Any club level guests using the 90 day FP service who can book June 30th. I’d love to hear if Toy Story attractions have opened up yet. Thanks!
Apologies if someone has already answered this, but yes, the TS attractions are open for booking with the 90 day FP service. I just called DSS with a question about nighttime spectaculars and asked about this, too. My booking window opens Saturday, so I've gotta get that spreadsheet ready! :thumbsup2

The only resort that allows you to book a CL room using DVC points is AKL. However, since there are a very limited number of rooms available, unless it's your home resort which allows you to book it exactly 11 months out, it's next to impossible to get.

There are a very small number of CL rooms that you can reserve using DVC points at AKV-Jambo House, they are almost always reserved at exactly 11 months out by AKV owners.

And after I replied to the OP's question, my page refreshed and I noticed that you took care of it already. :teeth:

Yep! And all three are tier 1 FPs.

To cl or not?

I know I usually am in the "it's worth it for time savings " group for a yes vote.

However I have a maybe weekend for Memorial coming up. I had poly cl booked with a ta. Dh said he would not stay there. UGH!:sad2:

He said he wanted GF and that I could get cl this time because last Sept we did a std gv room. lol I think he offered cl because I would point at SL every time we passed and say "that's where dd and I always stay" , or "that's MY usual building"!:rolleyes1

So when AP rates came out I booked TPV RPC. :flower1: It was $1000 a night pretax:sad1:

Don't feel bad for me tho I have a poly cl with TPV cl at CR split for 7/4:worship:

Oh I better go look for some evening ressies!

Even with my Disney-math googles- I would agree with you. You can hang with us at SL if you like!
