Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

No problem, the Boardwalk CL Std rooms have some of the best views in Epcot area.

Let's start with the Village Green group, they overlook the "village green" between the BWI and the BWV with some rooms having a Crescent lake view, but this group are located outside the Doors to the Inn Keepers Club. Next up would be the group of Std rooms that look out to Epcot at the very end of the hall. Next up would be "Close to the lounge", they overlook the inner courtyard and the roofs of the Outer building CL rooms, some times called the "honeymoon" houses. And finally, the CL Std rooms that overlook the lawn and the quite pool.

Review the "views" above and let me know what your preference would be and I can give you some sample "room" view requests so that the Room Assigner has the best idea of what you are requesting.

The entire 4th floor is quite short so in my "view" all CL rooms are close to the lounge. For example, I don't care for the long winding hallways in the YC / BC or even the AKL CL rooms.

Just a reminder: all room requests within a given booking class, are only requests and can not be guaranteed.

Thank you... I wasn't the one that asked about the view but since we areally booked for our very first stay at BWI this response was very helpful. We requested inside the innkeepers doors but no other requests. It's good to know about the short walks. We had an amazing view of Spaceship Earth at the BC last year. However we were all the way at the very end and a long way from SHC. In the evening 1 or 2 of us would bring back desserts and drinks to the rest of the family. Going down at least 5 (seemed like more) hallways was not always easy with a tray of goodies.

Thanks for the detailed info on the various room locations. We would prefer to be inside the doors to the Inn Keepers Club. Also, it would be nice to be able to see the fireworks from our room. :). We accept that these are only requests and will be happy just to be at Disney World. :)

@TJA - I think I just had an "ah ha" moment about all of this. For some reason I was thinking @DisneyFansInNYC Wl trip was a recent stay, but it was spring 2015, pre renovation. That room isn't even available right now with the south wing closed. So I've had this conversation messed up in my head the whole time. Doh!

Barring the south wing reopening by the spring and still containing Deluxe rooms that haven't been converted to DVC (which I guess is an unknown), looks like north wing it is!

Ok, I'm done worrying about this. Just going to let it roll and see how it goes!

Yes sorry - I was there before the major construction. I have no idea what is closed or opened except that the lounge is closed.

For us, it was like having our own TV spot. Probably because the food was on the other "wing". I think the kids area was on the other side by the other two HM. The pics of our view is on the WL thread, @WDWKOOK had posted them for me :) We could see Wishes from the balcony, but there were bats outside and I kind of freaked the freak out ;)

So true, and all this WL talk I am missing that boat to MK now  COBBLER SOOOOOO yummy!!

Thanks I will go to look at the pictures. I really love the WL but don't want to go during major renovations as we require a deluxe room - not sure where they would be. The bats would freak me out too. I have never seen a bat at Disney.

OK there are 2 rooms that have a view of the Eifel Tower in the distance and the high Epcot fireworks: North facing rooms 4203, 4201. The next closed rooms would be: 4209, 4211. Note that these rooms are behind ESPN Zone and so you can also see the access road and the trash storage area if you look down from the balcony.

I would suggest that you consider a different request and watch the fireworks from near the wedding pavilion area or even better from inside Epcot! CL rooms really don't have a very good view of the new DHS fireworks.

No need to apologize, I was being an idiot. I remember you had posted some pics of a WL Deluxe room not too long ago so I incorrectly had in my head it was this year, but looking back you were responding to someone that had a question about the Deluxe room layouts. My bad!

I'm curious to see if that room/location you had survives as a Deluxe room post renovation, or if it gets converted to DVC. Seems like a lot of unknowns with the South Wing rooms, now that I'm caught up on the WL thread.

Thanks again for your help and posts on WL BTW!

Ok hope this helps. This is the 7th floor of WL where the cl rooms and lounge are located.

The "north wing" is the section on top and the "south wing" on the bottom if you cut the resort in half horizontally in the center.

The pink section would be the north wing rooms with woods, CR and fireworks view. (Service area is below but at 7th floor not too bad)

The rooms across the hall are the NW courtyard rooms.

@Circusgirl was in the courtyard room and we had the cr/MK room. We let each other share the view from our balconies and agreed both were good. So nice to have a dismeet when staying CL, lots of time to visit. :)

Lounge: The new one is the two rooms on the far left that used to be honeymoon rooms (@pas130 posted pix on WL page 1 if interested.)

The temp lounge is the large white square on the right in the north wing, was a suite.

So as you can see currently either lounge is conveniently located because everything is in the north wing.

we've never stayed CL at AKL either -- it's on my list for someday!

It's on our list to try, too, as AKL CL gets a lot of great reviews :).

I also read the new lounge will have a view facing MK, so that's definitely a huge plus. A lounge with a view!

I agree! WL CL is one of our favorites and while we like trying different resorts/CLs, I can't wait to return to WL CL after the lounge is complete :goodvibes.

When I first heard of the lounge construction I thought that they were just renovating the lounge not realizing that they were relocating it.

I thought the same thing and didn't realize it was being relocated. With that said, I can't wait to see it finished ;).

Me too :) Thank you!

:goodvibes

We're staying for the first time at BWI CL next September. Do all of the BWI CL rooms have balconies?
So excited for our first time at BWI. :)

Hope you have a great time :wizard:.

all this WL talk I am missing that boat to MK now

Me too.....everything about the WL is amazing, but I really love the boat :boat:.

The bats would freak me out too. I have never seen a bat at Disney.

I've never seen a bat at Disney either, but add me to the list of those who would freak out if I saw one .

@trishadono thanks! I'm clear now, I think lol. My main confusion stemmed from thinking there were mid wing deluxe rooms in the north wing (like the south wing has/used to have). Plus I had the north and south wings reversed in my mind (my fault!).

So just to be clear, are the north deluxe rooms just at the top arrow? So now there are 12 deluxe CL rooms, right? Floors 1-6, 2 on each floor?

My DH joked and was like it IS the Wilderness...ummm no...we also had a frog on our window that was cute :)

Just got back from our split CSR business class/YC CL stay and thought I'd share a few things:

CSR Business Class:
Breakfast offerings were bagels, asst'd muffins/pastries, fresh cut fruit: strawberries, cantaloupe, pineapple, honeydew melon, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries. Asst'd cereal in their individual containers; yogurt in their individual closed containers, asst'd juices, milk, coffee and tea. In the evenings: asst'd cheeses; deli meat, crudité, chips, nachos, salsa and dips, mozzarella and tomato salad, olives. Sangria, wine and beer along with soda, water and fresh baked cookies later in the evening. Lounge is a good size and a nice place to relax.

This was our 3rd stay in a business class room and let me just say what a GREAT value for a moderate!! Truly is a "club light" resort and I would not hesitate to stay here again and can't wait to see what the new rooms will look like after their refurb.

YC CL:
New lounge is great, much more spacious with plenty of seating but when it comes to their offerings??? Just okay, IMHO. Not much has changed from our previous stay before the lounge remodel. Sure they have hard boiled eggs but they are no longer whole and the way they display them, it makes it difficult to grab the halves without breaking them and making a mess everywhere! They had two fresh fruit offerings that I ate (cut up strawberries and cantaloupe) and in the 3 days I had them, they were not ripe - too sour for my liking. Yogurt? Like others have noticed, they no longer serve yogurt in individual closed containers. Evening offerings: 2 hot items and a bunch of different little salad options - nothing to write home about. Dessert options? It was the same both nights and again nothing that stood out for me.

While we love the YC/BC, DH & I both decided we would no longer splurge for CL here as we didn't feel it was worth the price tag. Not enough variety and it was just okay.

I think so.

There are 2 elevators up and I think it would not be too bad to get to lounge. The temp lounge actually is in a nicer spot for the deluxe rooms access.

Ok I found the wine for AKL.

However I read about mimosas made with the jungle juice. So whats that? Champagne with juice or white wine with juice.

Room request ? I don't think it will matter. Some appear to have good views, close to lounge or close to elevator?? All would be good.

Anything you think unique about AKL vs others we should know? I have tried cr, poly, gf rpc and sl,, wl and bc.

Not sure if anyone has chimed in about what's unique about AKL, but we stayed CL there last April. We really enjoyed it, although our room was a bit of a hike from the lounge (but giraffe views made up for it!). One thing that I believe was different...shortly before our stay, they had replaced some of the more kid-friendly afternoon offerings (chicken fingers, etc.) with a chef stage, where they prepared more unique hot appetizers between 5 and 7pm, such as African stew, etc. Over the course of our stay, we got to sample lots of items fitting with the cultural theme of the resort - some were hits and misses with the kids (mostly hits!), but DH and I really enjoyed them.

@GADisneyDad14

DD21 and I do many mom and me trips each year. Hands down we are mono girls! Due to budget we have to do some mods once in a while and even values! However when we can get a good price cr/poly and gf for us! CL for me is a treat because when on vaca I love the not cooking part!

Jan 2015 our choices were any mod or wl(budget). Then I looked at cl price and that year it wasn't too bad so I splurged.

Have to say we really liked it. I found the cm's to be very friendly. More importantly the guests seemed friendlier too. There were lots of extended families really enjoying their family time.(compared to gf for ex and the often entitled people i see there)

I was surprised how much more of everything there was compared to poly and Cr cl's. Evening apps had plenty to choose from and I loved the comfort foods they had too. The cooler was better stocked as well. My favorite I often mention is the nightly warm cobbler. YUUUUUMMMMY

Don't forget it is a quick boat or bus over to mk OR cr. Then you can still visit or eat at all your favs pretty conveniently.

You can still see fireworks and EWP from WL too!

I am struggling a bit now with my jan move to AKl because WL is something I am looking forward to. However dd loves tea time at gf and since they have it there we can have scones everyday which will make us fat , I mean happy.

Besides , who doesn't love to see giraffes from their balcony?

Thank you @trishadono I always appreciate your posts. I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum kid-wise but many similarities it seems.

I'm excited to check out CL at WL. We stayed at WL for a few nights way back in 2013 and that was the stay the got us hooked on Disney. Long story short, DW had booked one of those off site "free nights if you come to this timeshare open house." I was cursing her the whole time for signing us up for that. After a few nights at Buena Vista Palace I was done and we moved to WL. A year later we stayed Poly CL and it's been downhill since then! :-)

We have such fond memories of WL we're excited to go back and check out the CL experience.

We always laugh about how LOUD the EWP was in our room. We were in a room towards the middle of the "U" and it was so freakin' loud. I hope it's still the same!

And this COBBLER everyone speaks of.... :-)

Thank you so much for the info. This really helps. Do you know what they are doing with the old lounge?

Good question. I watched a video of it yesterday from our last stay and so glad we got to try it. Very fun to sit and look over the balcony to that gorgeous lobby.

I read up on the WL threads and it's fun watching and waiting for the newest updates. If they do the south wing dvc will the 7th floor rooms have CL access ? AKL has some CL access for Jambo dvc so I am guessing yes. :flower1:

Thanks ! :goodvibes

We started visiting wdw as a family with dd1 and then ds1 too. We went every year once then got bumped from airline for 4 free tickets one year so we had to go back . Then when did was 11 I started the mom and me trips, so once a year as a family then every other year a kid alone.

Once dd went to college I needed to go in summer before she left as a freshman, in January over break, then May when first done , then August before leaving again. ;)

Have to say our DL trip in March for her 21 was amazing. So very fortunate dh and ds put up with our addiction lol. :cool1:

I love ewp too! From BLT it was very loud as well. That's our first stop as a family in Jan. I love those villas ! So pricey tho so only do when we all together. Once you have teens you will see the need for a second bathroom. ::yes::

Can't wait for your review. We are all expecting some nice pictures:thumbsup2
