Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Hey I know that!

I did the deluxe suite twice. There are 2 versions with apporox same size..
One bedroom with a full bath, a 2nd room with queen sofa sleeper and a 1/2 bath.

The 1 bedroom suites are the size as one of the deluxe versions plus another room. So close to the size of 3 rooms.

The best way to see this is on the room finder tool.

I didn't find video of the 1 bedroom. The pix on wdw show a more upgraded bedroom and should be accurate.

I loved the deluxe suite! Having the 1/2 bath with 3 adults was great. Compare it to the RR 1 bedroom villa? The villa was more swanky but less convenient with 1 toilet.
Thanks, Trish! I almost sent you a PM to get an answer because I remembered that you had stayed in one.
I had a very hard time finding the description and difference on any site, including the GDT info on the WDW site. Crazy..
So, we might get a half bath and we might not? I booked a deluxe suite, not one bedroom.
Yeah, those videos only had the whole CSR map, not the rooms layouts, that I could tell. I don't have a subscription to Touring Plans so maybe that's why I couldn't see it.

The deluxe suites all have 1 full and 1 half bath. What I campared was the RIveria Resort (RR) does not have a 1/2 bath. Sorry for confusion.

We loved the space. Also walk is minor to elevator up to lounge. THe suites are close to elevator.

Happy Planning :)

Still working on the dates but the 2 weeks next May plan is a go!! We’re not doing an equal split, but 5 days at RPC and the rest at Poly. With all the extra time we are looking at a casual approach to the parks and really looking forward to plenty of relaxation at the resorts.

Sounds like an amazing trip! Have fun with the planning :wizard:.

Thanks for the clarification, Trish. Thoughts of having such a nice space to be in, plus the added bonus of that wonderful lounge, are a bit of sunshine on this rainy day in Georgia!

Enjoy and happy planning!! We always do the casual approach. It makes such a nice trip.

We asked our TA to look at 5/22/21-6/4/21. 4 nights at RPC rest at Poly. Just having the dates set makes me feel so much better. I've been really run down lately (essential NYC govt and had to go in to train temps the last couple of days) and need something special to look forward to. The GF has literally been a childhood dream of mine, I hope it lives up to the similar ones I had of the Poly. I fell so hard for the Poly when we stayed there for the first time in 2018 and it wasn't even CL. I might actually cry when we walk into GF lol. When my partner and I were both little, it was brand new, and it turns out we both called it "the Princess Hotel"!

Kylenne I am so excited you have your dates set. I love both those resorts. Sounds like a fantastic trip! I'm shooting for 10-14 days for our next trip but it will more than likely be in 2022. :crazy2: Gives me plenty of time to plan though. I'm just so glad we went in January before all of this. :)I hope you are feeling better soon and thank you for being an essential worker during these unprecedented times.

Both resorts are amazing and while the Poly will always be my favorite, the GF doesn't disappoint. RPC is wonderful, I'm sure you'll have a great time. Enjoy the planning and excitement leading up to next year :goodvibes.

I'm glad you were able to get a trip in before all this virus mess. I'm sorry your next trip might not happen until 2022, but I'm sure it will be amazing :wizard:.

Thank you so much. We officially booked this morning, our TA found plenty of availability and said that room only reservations are much more flexible for next year, they’re offering them as a “package lite” where you only pay a $200 deposit and it’s easier to add tickets and dining later on. We just wanted to lock our rooms down but that was a pleasant surprise.

It feels so good to have a trip officially on the books again. I know 2022 sounds so far away for you but planning makes it fly by!

I just booked August 2021 at Poly. We have reservations for this year in August too but just in case we have to cancel this year, it won’t be so hard to take if next year is already booked. With all the the talk of people rescheduling for next year I wanted to make sure we go what we wanted, agent said he was booking a lot for next year.

Just Canceled our (first!) CL stay at the YC for the second time this year. Looking forward to rebooking for March 2021.

Where do you see CL in 2021? Do you think it will be similar to the CL experience it was before the shut down? Do you think the perks will be the same?

I know we don't have a crystal ball, but I am interested in your thoughts.

Your trip sounds amazing. I love Disney is going to allow $200 to book a room only reservation. I think I’m going to call tomorrow and book our trip for June 2021 at GF RPC. We stayed there three times last year and loved it. Another nice thing to do is to walk the pathway that connects GF and Poly. I also call this this resort the princess resort. It is so special.

I’m an Epcot area hotel girl but I LOVE the sound of a walkway to MK. And I think I’d love to stay at the poly for a bit. Is it easy to get to the TT monorail? And will it be hard to go from poly to GF to the walkway to MK (when it’s done??) how far is it to GF from the poly and from GF yo MK once the path is done???

ETA- only stayed at BWI fir our 3 trips do not sure about other resorts

We love BWI too, we usually do a split stay between GF and BWI. I’m not sure what the distance will be from GF to MK, but I do know the pathway from the GF to Poly is around .6 mile. DH and myself usually walk this slow to enjoy the beauty of the resorts and seven seas lagoon. It takes around 15-20 minutes to walk it at a leisurely pace. We like to go inside Poly and look around.

I'm sorry you had to cancel again, but I know how you feel as I've had to cancel 3 times :(.

It's hard to say what will happen with CL. I've read some posts of people thinking Disney might do away with self serve and have the CMs pre-plate/serve guests. I personally don't see Disney making drastic changes, but that's just my opinion. If Disney goes to CL guests being served by CMs, I wonder what they'd do for buffets? CL is on a smaller scale than buffets, but it's still the same self serve concept. I will be looking out for reviews once Disney does reopen :).

I think I’m going to call tomorrow and book our trip for June 2021 at GF RPC. We stayed there three times last year and loved it. Another nice thing to do is to walk the pathway that connects GF and Poly. I also call this this resort the princess resort. It is so special.

How exciting!! RPC is amazing! I also love the path between the GF & Poly....it's very relaxing with beautiful surroundings :cloud9:.

This is my crystal ball guess - In the short term, WDW will have to make changes and the CL experience in 2020 will likely be very different than previously. I think there is a good chance that at least some of those changes may stick around for a while, easily into 2021. WDW is always looking to cut costs and they will need to cut costs and reducing the offerings in their Club Lounges is an easy way to cut costs, even after some of the "modifications" may not need to be in place. I assume we'll see the beverage cooler still in place, beers for those that wish, all day fruits and pre-packaged snacks, but no hot and cold appetizer buffets, etc.

Longer term, if guests start complaining (like they did when the offerings were cut back a few years ago), then they will beef up their offerings (no pun intended). But, this whole cycle will have to play out.

Here we go. As most of you remember I posted up about the May 19th opening and all the guidelines I was given by my insider source. Here is the latest update I received yesterday. And to clarify, my source works for Disney though not a CM the way we view most CM's. My source is not front line, not phone, not DVC. Think above all that. Anyway,
June 1st WDW opens.
MK, AK, HS, DS and 1 water park. Mini Golf also opens. EP is on the table but may not open for a few weeks only because of the international employees they will need to bring back.
All WDW resorts open including the Wyndham resorts. Pools and Arcades will be open. Club Level lounges will be open only for coffee, soft drinks and adult beverages. Pre packaged snacks and fruits will be made available. No Breakfast, evening small plates or any CM prepared foods.
To enter a park you have to either be a resort guest with tickets or an AP holder. Everyone will be required to wear a Magic Band. If you don't have one, a complementary gray one will be issued.
All restaurants on property, except buffets, will be open with strict social distancing enforced.
Ride ques will enforce spacing between groups.
All walkways will operate like a road. Stay to the right.
No dessert parties or private tours with the exception of the VIP tour.
FP+ will be available but No single rider lines.
Busses, ferry boats, Monorail and Minnie Vans will be in operation. Uber and regular Lyft will not be available.

This is all tentative so please don't make any plans based on what I wrote. Things at WDW are very fluid and changing daily. I will update if I get any more information.

For now I am still keeping our May 21st trip because the May 19th date is "Still on the table" but will most likely not happen. I do have a June trip booked as a backup so I'm not really worried either way.
This was quoted on another thread. What was mentioned about club level is exactly what DH and myself talked about. I agree with Vinotinto, club level will definitely not be the same experience we are used to having.

I can definitely see that happening.

What do you think about CL FastPasses? Do you think that program will still be around?

I don't think the hot and cold appetizers really would need to go away, especially the pre-plated ones that most CL have as long as they enforce a "you touch it you take it" policy. They could have guests serve themselves with their own cutlery (clean, obviously) to cut down on all guests touching serving tongs and spoons, install sneeze/cough guards, and have more CL with a station where a CM serves. I could see any buffet on property turning in to a place where a CM serves, you just let them know what you want and hold your plate out, or something much like a school cafeteria situation, it's not impossible.
