So, the GF SL... 2/26-3/2
We have mixed feelings about it.
First, the good...the food was UNBELIEVABLE!!! Oh my goodness...just...scrumptious. We literally could not believe HOW.MUCH.DELICIOUS.FOOD was available almost constantly from before we woke up until 10 pm. Two of the days we stayed there we didn't have to purchase a single food or beverage item because there was literally just too much stuff to eat and we couldn't eat another bite in addition to what we ate at the lounge. We actually cancelled two ADRs in advance because after the first day we realized that we just weren't going to have stomach room to eat any meals in addition to what was being offered at the lounge. Specifically, we pretty much fell in love with the scones and everything at the afternoon tea service. And those cinnamon pecan rolls at breakfast...WHAT THE WHAT?!? Are they deliberately TRYING to get us to gain 10 pounds in 5 days? It was all just so, so good that we found ourselves constantly saying, "well, we should really start to head back...tea starts in half an hour!"

We are big tea drinkers anyway and used to always make a reservation for the Afternoon Tea service at the hotel, but there's really no need to do this if you're staying CL because most of the stuff is there! The only disappointments were that the strawberry soup was never offered while we were there, and neither were the Mickey waffles that I'd read about. Even though we're vegetarians, we did find enough food to make lunches and dinners out of what was offered (but we are fairly light eaters, so YMMV).
Ok, the not as good...while our room was lovely, and very clean and in good condition, we just weren't wowed by it in the way we were by our BWI garden cottage. (In fairness, I will concede that the BWI room was more expensive though, and therefore should wow us more.)
It also was (as to be expected) noisier...we could hear people in the hallways, sometimes in the room next door, and every morning we were awakened before 7 am by the smell of very strong coffee brewing. My H actually took the step after two days of this (we are night owls and like to sleep in) of stuffing the gap under the door with a towel in hopes that it would keep the smell out...it lessened it but it was still strong enough to wake us up every day. I know, I know...first world problems (and you're right to call me on that!).
Our room was a dormer room on the 3rd floor at the end of the hall. We liked the location about as well as we'd like any location in SL I think, but I really felt for the people who had the rooms in the "main area" that opened up to the lobby below, because it definitely wasn't all peace and quiet in there!
Ok, on to the photos...
Oh, and our room had a view of the quiet pool, but I forgot to take a photo of it.
