Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Wine at Disney….🍷

When non cl I have to get my own 5p wine. Dd and I tend to explore resorts as much as we ride rides when we are at WDW. We always pop into the shops to see what they have.

Dh was with us this trip and when I bought wine at BC (we were at BWI that day)he asked why. The wine offerings keep changing but because I go often I know when I see something new or different from other resorts. BC had wine splits (1/2 size bottles) in both J Lohr Cabernet and a Pinot Noir but I can’t remember the name. I bought both and would buy both again.

In general Poly has a bigger selection than GF and CR. When at Boardwalk resorts I used to find better wine at YC vs BC and BWI but these splits were a nice surprise.

As @focusondisney suggested it is simply an extra cost for a equal or similar product. Is there is real or perceived value or is it more convenient for you or as @Ricguz was benefiting by only needing a 2 hr window window vs other providers requiring a 3 hour advanced pickup time for an airport return. If you need 2 car seats that would be real value that you realize by paying a premium for the MV since they have up to 2 car seats available.

There is no tip included in the $199 fixed fee for airport transfers. Since you don't use the Lyft app for this service you can't add a driver tip at time of drop off within the Lyft app so you would need cash to tip your driver.

As to how much to tip your driver? There are many views but since this is a personal service you should consider a range of 10-25% for the service. However since this is a fixed fee I would be fine with a $20 tip for a MV airport transfer even though it is only 10% of the fixed fee unless the driver provided extra or exceptional service.

Do you want or need any of the features of the MV service? I always use the 2 car seat example since the other ride share options only offer up to 1 car seat. Another example would be to have the driver meet you and assist you with collecting you luggage.

Do you need a dedicated MV or could you use a Mears bus, shared shuttle, Mears car service or a regular ride share. Only you can decide what works for your group.

Thank you for you reply! It helped put things in great perspective. I don’t need a car seat at all, we will be 2 adults and a teen. I just thought the “Disney” magic would be the plus side of this service! The cast members and the fun pickup would be nice. We have used black chariot Orlando last time too, and they were fantastic. Same price compared to Minnie van however. If I wish to save money I suppose we could just get a uber in the morning and call it a day.
Appreciate all your notes and things to consider! :)

I think premium can mean perceived value or an additional cost, over & above something else. We use Tiffany Town Car, it’s $190 RT, tip not included.
Thanks! $190 return is pretty good, I’d be open to looking into Tiffany town car at that rate 🥰

We are using Gear fusion and they are $144 RT for 2 adults, 1 kid, with booster seat. It is for a mid-size SUV or minivan. Reviews I've seen have been good. Last time we went to Disney, we rented a car, and driving in Orlando was not the most relaxing experience 😂 I was so happy to get off I-4 and into the Disney bubble. This trip is about really enjoying the resort, since we did Club Level, and hitting our favorite things, and relaxing, so no car rental this time.

Yes, the lounge is accessible for CL guests, starting the morning of their check in day, to the end of lounge service on their check out day! You can even go back for dinner/dessert, if you really wanted to. Enjoy!
Is this true even if you are checking into another resort/room? We are staying at BCV but arrive one night early, so I was thinking of booking a club room for one night at BC. Would we be able to use the lounge on our check in day and then all the way into the evening at 10pm despite switching to a non club-level room? I read somewhere else that once you hit check-out time, your scan card stops working to get into the lounge.

No, it would normally work & you do have access all day. The difference in your case is that you’re checking into another resort. Your MB can only be programmed for 1 room/ resort at a time. Just talk to the CL CMs when you check out. They can give you a key card to access the elevators to CL so you can come back to the lounge all day.

May not be new as I don’t follow GF that closely, but not a bad CL benefit.

That was in place last year as well. They give you a form to fill out and they shop for you! ETA: They also do it for the Easter Cottage as well! 🙂

PS - if you have a copy of the form (if that’s how they’re still handling it), can you please share it? I only have the Easter form. No rush!! Thank you!!

Is there any reason to NOT do the Direct-To-Room pre-arrival check-in? Our previous visits have been in the CR Tower King so room requests are not really an option. This time we are staying Atrium Club since the Tower King wasn't available :-( and have requested the King bed or close to the elevator. So I don't know whether Direct-to-Room will help us or hurt us get the King room (as far as I know there is only one on the 12th floor) or at least close to the elevator.

As far as I know there is only 1 King bed room on the Atrium Club level and it is 4813 Resort view (Bay lake). It is right in the center of the Bay lake side of the Atrium directly facing the Elevator bridge and the CL lounge.

How did you make your request?

According to Touring Plans, 4839 is also a King bed room and our reservation is for Atrium Club, Theme Park View. I made the request with DSS when they called at 60 days out.
