Resort Thread Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH Resort

Each "island" has one, there's one by Banana Cabana (the pool bar) and in the food court.
We just got back stayed in the Aruba section, there was the refill station located in and around block 55. Just no coffee only at the main resort building and further out by spyglass grill. Roughly a 10 minute walk to the main CBR building. Second stay in a year last was in the Jamaica section.

Menu question: I visited in 2023 and was in love with the bread pudding at Sebastian's Bistro. The server said it was also available at Banana Cabana. Does anyone know if that's still true? Thanks!

Coming in August with my husband, 3 kids (5 1/2, 3 1/2 and 17 months) and our au pair. We currently have a 5th sleeper room booked Water or Pool view because it was the cheapest 5th sleeper room available when I booked. I know we are going to be cozy with 6 people in the room but wondering if I am going to be too cramped and regret it. I like the idea of the skyliner and the pool looks like my kids will love it but wondering if I should stay off property and just deal with less convenient transportation and pools.

I too love the skyliner, but I think you'll probably feel pretty cramped. We recently stayed with our 5 (2 adults, 1 adult sized kid, and 2 kid sized kids--no pack and play) and while we were fine, it wasn't luxurious. If you are all cool with sleeping and getting up at the same time, sharing one bathroom, and not hanging in the room much aside from sleeping, go for it. If you are looking for something larger, but still onsite, price out a family suite at AoA or 2 rooms at Pop.

Edited to add: Yes, your kids will love the pool, but in my experience, kids love any hole in the ground filled with water. Don't cram yourselves in just for a fun looking pool.

I have a 5th sleeper standard room booked. Our family is 2 adults and 2 adult kids (20,23) and a 12 year old. We always stay in Jamaica but haven’t been in a few years and now the kids are older and bigger!
Do you recommend a regular room or should I request the new little mermaid rooms to give a little more space when we aren’t sleeping. How comfortable is the Murphy pull down bed for a 20 and 23 year old?
Location isn’t a big deal to us just more comfort for the 5 of us.
Thank you!

We stayed in Aruba ( Jamaica the year prior) section a couple of weeks back, we had a corner ground floor room with adjoining room with friends. I attempted to lay on the pull down sleeper, lets just say its good for the 12 year old if not super tall. I don't recall room number but we had a corner with two large windows and it was great. Weather was fantastic but did not spend much time in the room other than sleep.

Does anyone know the delivery address for Bell service for CB? I'd like to do a Walmart order. I'm finding 900 and 1114 Cayman Way.

We are going to WDW in December and probably staying at Caribbean Beach. There are 4 of us, 3 females and a tall guy. I was hoping we could fit my granddaughter on a 5th sleeper at CBR, but she's 5'8" and I read they are 63 inches in length. I am the shortest one and I won't do it. Is there enough floor space for a twin air mattress?

The sleeper is going to be way more comfortable than an air mattress. It’s a normal twin bed. If it’s like Boardwalk.

As an adult, I would much rather sleep on an air mattress than on the small pulldown bed. When our kids were teenagers, they didn't want to sleep with one another (boy and a girl) so we brought along a blow up mattress (twin size) and put it in between one of the beds and the wall. During the day, we simply stood it up on it's end to keep it out of the way.

You’re right That doesn’t looks comfy as other resorts 5th sleeper. Good luck! Idk about floor space.

I'm only 5 feet and slim built and found it extremely uncomfortable the materass is too thin and hard, so I got my 8 yr old to use it instead. Whereas the Polynesian's one was great for an adult.

The space is very tight but I guess you could probably put the air mattress in the bathroom and remove it in the morning but really depends how big it is.

Is Trin South still only pirate rooms?
Pirate rooms are a thing of the past. The theme is now "Little Mermaid - lite" and have a 5th sleeper plus a Murphy bed instead of 2 queen beds. Not 100% sure it is all the rooms in Trinidad South, but definitely the pirate rooms. I don't remember if all the rooms in TS were pirate rooms!

Dang - shows how long since I have been to CBR! The last time I was, pirate rooms were new! I believe most of Trin South were pirate - they were so unpopular for people to want to stay in, they themed them to get them in the doors.

Thanks!

I know! That area now is not so bad. There is a small snack bar there by the quiet pool that serves bar type food and a Coke Free Style machine too, so you don't have to walk to Old Port Royale. And it's close to the main Skyliner station. The new rooms are really cute.
