Why is this hard to accept ?
She chose DCA on the basis of 2 E-ticket attractions over TDS beautiful theming. It happens, people are all different. She is a Disney vet and a travel agent who is a certified specialist. I just mentioned this to bring a different perspective, as sometimes this board can very lockstep.

Ms. Judy – I absolutely accept your friend’s opinion. I’ve spent too many years in the entertainment industry not to recognize that every show has an audience and that the audience has a right to enjoy what it likes. My comments were just a bemused shaking of the head, the same reaction I have to the ratings for WWF, the box office for movies like ‘The Mummy Returns’, and the Cheeze Whiz sampler pack. It’s just one of those things in life.

There are many people who swear that California Adventure is the greatest Disney theme park ever built. Around here there are just as many people who will swear that Magic Mountain is better than Disneyland (let alone DCA). There are people who swear that Branson, Missouri is far superior to all. Or a cruise or Hawaii or whatever.

It takes all kinds.

And Captian, sir. I have a feeling I’ll be visiting DisneySea long, long before you see California Adventure. Besides, I really do like DisneySea better than DCA already. I get far more joy by looking at pictures and videos of the park in Tokyo than I get from actually standing in that place in Disneyland’s parking lot.

I guess I have to join the 'I liked DCA' group along with my mil, wife and daughter. No it is not WDW but I was expecting a WDW. While OWTS did not like Paradise, I did. Why... because it reminded me of Coney Island in the 50's when I was a young child and my mother took a vacation day to go to SteepleChase Park. I looked at the themeing first. Did it convey what was being said? Yes, a return to one's youth and the old style amusement parks.

Also, found like someone else that characters are all over the place in DCA. Much more approachable than in WDW. I saw Donald & Goofy walking down a road towards arm-in-arm with guests. Never saw that in 19/20 trips to WDW.
