Resort Thread Disney's BOARDWALK INN Resort

AKV 6/22-6/28 then BWV 6/28-7/5. I know we overlap but I don't remember yours exactly?

I'm sure the odds of getting a view of the clown pool are better than the BW view...and it would be nice to see some of the higher Illuminations fireworks. But if we got the right view of the pool we should be able to see some HS fireworks I'm thinking. Ugh I don't know!!

Oh yes ok! I couldn’t remember if you were going to be there the first or 2nd half of the week. hopefully we can figure out a day or two to meet before we move!

We leave a week from tonight. Driving from Boston. Check in to boardwalk on Saturday the 16th. First time staying here and cant wait!!

No. We actually did a resort day last year and we had a great day, so we’ll do the same! There was so much to do at Poly for the kids. I hope they do the same at GF!! Are you going to brave the crowds?

We leave a week from yesterday but aren't at BWI this trip
It's so strange to NOT do BWI but sometimes we have to stay somewhere else in order to fit all the trips we want in so we are at FQ this time. We'll be back at our "home" in April though

Perfect!!!! Sounds like a great plan!! It will be nice being able to walk right back after the fireworks! (I had to correct my post - meant GF). My friend told us their 4th experience at MK 2 years ago, definitely scared me lol

We've went to MK in the evening for fireworks a few times on the 3rd and it's scary enough! I definitely wouldn't want to do it on the 4th!

We’re headed to this resort for the first time in July. Staying in a grand villa with the whole family! 7 adults and 5 kids! Should be fun super excited.

I would like to do a resort day the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, with dinner at DS. it's supposed to be super crowded in the parks on that day.
What did you do at the resort and what did you like best?

My tentative plan so far is sleeping in a bit, brunch in the lounge, then resort time. Maybe hit The Void at DS before diner at Raglan Road, then back to BWI to watch fireworks.

Great videos indeed! Also, ResortTV1 has some great content on YouTube with a resort tour, walking tours of the area, WDW info channel recorded for YouTube etc.

Getting ready to pull the trigger on a boardwalk stay for an adults trip in September - yay! Gotta use the APs while we can. I read through the first page of posts and got some great info.

For those that have time and are so inclined, tell me, what is your favorite thing about boardwalk? Everyone has their fave resort so what makes BW yours? Thanks in advance!

Definitely the atmosphere. The evening is fun and just relaxing. I also like that it is a small resort. It never seems overly crowded. Walking to EPCOT and Studios is one of my favorite things to do.
