There are 2 showers in the women's area in the gym. We always use the gym to get ready for our late flight after using the pool for the day.Shower question continued. Is there just one shower in there, or multiple. At other resorts, I've only noticed one, and low and behold a family is in there before us.
thanks
If there is, I've never found it. I know there's one at Beach Club, but only one main way in from the Boardwalk (well two if you count the stairs into the lobby and the ground level one that let's you take the elevator to the lobby floor. You still need to get off that one and walk to the main elevators to access the rooms though.)Checking into BWI in two weeks. I really thought that at one point I saw people talking about a secret entrance into the BWI when you were walking back from Epcot. But when I search it I don't see anything. Just trying to save the aching feet at the end of the night, but I have a feeling I am out of luck.
Hi! We are booked in a 1 bedroom villa, standard view. I was wondering if anyone could provide room recommendations that are close to the boat dock? Our daughter has autism, and mild CP, so we try to stay close to transportation when possible. We've stayed on the Inn side, but never the villas. Any information or suggestions are welcome. Thanks!
If you do online check in, you can REQUEST location/room type to a certain point. All requests are just that - REQUESTS - and there is no guarantee that any will be met, but it increases your chances. After you scan your magic band at the airport to enter the DME bus line, they know you are on your way. Quite often folks will get a text notifying them of room number, if the room is ready. Otherwise, they get a text that the room is not ready, but to check carryon luggage with Bell Services, and they will get a text when the room is ready - luggage when it arrives at the resort will be delivered to that room.My DW and I are staying at the BWI March 31-April 4. When do you find out what room number you get? Is it as check in or before. We will be getting there early, before check it, so we're planning to just hit Epcot and drink around the world and return to BWI in the evening. We're doing the Magical Express. Will they just pick a room and have our luggage already in there? If so, that would limit the opportunities to request a room or an upgrade. Anyone know the process?
Those 2nd floor rooms are great! So very convenient and what a lovely serene view ...may I ask...did that particular room have a connecting door??
What she said!!![]()
Actually, I believe that other than the Club Level rooms, all the rooms facing the back side and not the water, are Standard. I could be wrong, but Touring Plans also classifies them that way.Moved over to BWI from CSR for the second part of a split stay. Our room wasn't ready but by 1:00 we were hot and tired of Epcot so went to the front desk to see if we could take our chances and get something. We got room 2300 and are very pleased. I booked a standard view but I'm guessing this is a garden view. Real close to the quiet pool and lobby.![]()

The question about a secret entrance/exit to pavement to Epcot got me thinking again. I know there isn't any secret way to get to the Boardwalk side except through the main back entrance from the lobby or the lower floor...but how about a shorter walk to the bus stop from the standard rooms facing the gardens or parking lot, maybe through the Convention Center, or do you have to go all the way to the lobby and out the front and then down the sidewalk?

So does this mean that if we get to the hotel after taking the Magical Express from the airport and it is before "official Check in Time" we can just drop our stuff at Bell Services and go on our way to the parks or grab a bite and the bands are fully functional with the tickets and dining plan stuff (without having to stop at the front desk) ???![]()

Yep! I've gotten lucky and have always had our room ready for us when we got there until my trip in September. We stopped by the front desk to check in and see if anything was available, and when it wasn't, we did just that: dropped our bags at Bell Services and went off to Epcot!
As a side note: FP do start at 7am est on the 60 day mark? I just don't trust myself,at this point.
We booked a standard view for 2 adults and 3 children. On another website there is a room finder and it says that Boardwalk only has 5 rooms total that have 2 queens and a day bed. Does that sound right?
