...well, I figured, most folks who have never visited, would want to see those out-of-the-way places too, not just the standard ones that you see on the Disney.go website.@kimmar067
Love all the locations you capture that are off the main pathway of life and all the nooks and quite sites of the BW resort. Great shots of animals in their daily lives. Both human and winged.

So happy for you! Happy belated BD!!I am just so pumped. We moved our reservations to BWI when we heard the resort was opening this summer. Our stay is end of Aug/beginning of Sept. Then to find out that there was a 25% discount, we were able to save $1000 off our 7 night stay.
I have never stayed in a deluxe resort and I missed celebrating my 50th birthday last year due to COVID. It’s 1 1/2 years late but I’m so glad I get to stay at the one resort I dreamed of staying that (well AKL is on the list too). Thanks for listening...I just wanted to share.

As others have stated to your post, the BWI is a whimsical and elegant deluxe resort. I was fortunate to spend my 50th birthday at the Boardwalk Inn and enjoy a wonderful Disney trip. We did the same thing! Moved from Wilderness Lodge (love it there) but also always wanted to stay here! Our travel agent was kind enough to move us, then I was so excited about the big savings with the discount! Happy Birthday!I am just so pumped. We just wrapped up a stay at Swan, it was great but we love BWI more.First timers here at BW, heading down end of August (that is our sweet spot to visit being married to a teacher in NY). We were booked at POP, but once the discounts came out we were able to grab a pretty good deal on a studio room so we jumped on it. We have stayed at Swan and Beach Club before and love that area, so we are super excited. I know it will be busier than our Aug 2020 trip (i mean its pretty impossible for it to be LESS busy haha) but this is the first disney trip with our son where he will finally be able to tell us what he wants to do (which could be a good and a bad thing at the same time since he can tell us also what he DOESNT want to do).
Anyway, just wanted to say hi, and also one quick question I just thought. of. Should we keep our studio room we booked, or switch to a non DVC room? It is just the 3 of us and I think the price is the same from what i saw.
thanks!
Try this link for the Boardwalk Inn room finder.Any advice on the “Garden View” rooms? The rep put in a request for a King bed for us.
I had a nice Garden view room with King bed. The balcony looked out to the landscaped courtyard area with the walkway to the leisure pool. It was located on the 3rd floor (which is the lobby floor), so did not have to use the elevator and was a short walk down the hall -- the hallways can be winding and long at BWI. Wish I had the room number, but it was about six years ago. Maybe request on the 3rd floor with courtyard view. Hope this helps - have a magical stay at BWI.Any advice on the “Garden View” rooms?
