I've finally convinced my parents and younger sister's family to join us at the "Happiest Place on Earth". They all enjoy fine dining. So I'd like to show them that Disney is more than just mac and cheese and hot dogs. I'm hoping to coordinate the best dining experiences Disney has to offer. But because we'll have 3 children in tow, ranging in ages from 3 to 7, we will not be able to enjoy V & A's at the GF. As most of you know children under 10 are not permitted. I'm thinking of Citrico's, California Grill, Bistro de Paris type places but am not sure if these locations favor the younger children.

So my questions is.....which Disney restaurants will impress the very fussy palettes of my family while at the same time not frown upon our unruly brood of mousketeers. I do not want to hire a sitting service for the kids. After-all this is a family vacation and we all know that "family means nobody gets left behind". Thank you and have a Magical Day.

My kids really enjoy Brown Derby  , LeCellier, Les Chefs de France, Boma. We're trying Yachtsman in 2 weeks and after looking at the menus they really want to try Jiko & Cali Grill (that'll be in December). That's the problem with getting them to try good stuff, then they want it all the time :rotfl:

You should be ok with kids in any of the restaurants as long as they are able to sit for awhile and behave. Even though it is a family vacation, you might still want one "grownup" night out. The kids really do enjoy the kids clubs, it's a special night out for them too :goodvibes

We've taken our daughter (age 6) to most of the signature restaurants at Disney. Last week we did: Flying Fish, Yachtsman and Narcooses. Lots of kids in each. Prior trips she's come with us to: Jiko, Cali Grill, Artist Point...And the PP is correct, the problem is now that she wants the "good stuff" :rotfl:

I think that wherever you go ......the kids will enjoy the experience of Disney...we saw kids at most of the restaurants we went to.......have fun

We have eaten at a few of the "nicer" TS restaurants with our kids and they all have been positive experiences. Our servers have always gone out of the way to make sure the kids are entertained and happy with their meal. I think you should just pick whatever restaurants serve the kind of food that your family would enjoy and don't worry about the kids--they will have fun no matter where you eat.

I'm thinking that Bistro de Paris does not have a kids menu. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Otherwise, I think any signature would be O.K. What about trying Jiko and letting the kids check out the animals on the savannah? DS9 also really wants to try California Grill because he thinks it has a really cool location.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm not worried about the kids having a good time - they're very capable of adapting to most settings. It's the CM's at the high-end restaurants that I'm hoping will be receptive of a 3, 5 , and 7 year old. From what I've gathered so far, with the exception of V & A, as long as the kid's stay in their seats and don't set the place on fire we should be welcome anywhere. Thanks again to everyone who's replied.

If you do any Princess meals your best bet is probably Princess Storybook or CRT. :)
