Disney's ART OF ANIMATION RESORT Thread

hmm....I'm curious to hear this answer. My 2 year old is obsessed with his puddle jumper, he might be mad if I make him put on something else! :)

Been using DD's puddle jumper all week. No problems. Lots of kids have their own flotation device. So long as it doesn't obstruct the view of the water around them (like a doughnut shaped float), you're fine.

Is there any special request I should make for a Nemo room when doing online check in? Is there an advantage or disadvantage as to what floor?

Some reviews got me worried. I heard the beds in the LM rooms are very "Short". My husband is 6'1" ... Anybody can tell me what to expect?

We arrive in 6 days! We are still debating online checkin. We will be arriving late morning and heading off to MNSSHP that night!

How's the wifi at the resort? Any issues or does it work well?

I found the wifi to be excellent at the resort, in the rooms, and throughout most areas of the parks. However, my room in the Cars section was a dead zone for cellular and I would have to leave my devices on the windowsill to get texts and take calls just outside the building.

Yes, the options during online check in have always been very limited. It is always best to call and have any requests added to your reservation.

I found this as well, but when I checked my reservation using MDE, I had a lot more options. This was about 45 days after I had done the standard online checkin. I had no trouble whatsoever with online checkin, had all requests granted, and got quickly to my room even though I arrived 8 hours before checkin time.

Had the exact same experience

We did online check in and it was wonderful! We didn't even need to go up to a counter. One of the cms grabbed us right off the bus, entered a couple things in his tablet, handed us our welcome package and magic bands and off we went. We arrived at 10:30 am and our room was all ready to go. Took 5 minutes tops.

I don't know the exact lengths, but my husband is 6' and had no problem on the beds:)

My husband is 6' 6". As you could imagine, all beds are short by his standards, but they didn't seem to be any shorter than any other bed we've ever had at a hotel. We stayed in a suite and slept in the main bed and it was fine.

Yeap, ditto that. Exact same experience.....

That sounds great! We will be arriving at around 11:30am. All we are hoping for is a room to be ready. We always arrive at this time. This will be our fifth resort stay and a room has never been ready for us. I know it's early but fingers crossed that we can get into our room when we arrive!

Sorry if I missed it. What kind of utensils does AOA have?

Real silverware at the food court. Plastic in the suites.

We're staying at Little Mermaid. Just wanted to know if the main building has a microwave to heat up milk for kids?
Thanks
