Resort Thread Disney's ALL-STAR SPORTS Resort

At Sports right now and only complaint is the bus service to and from Downtown Disney/Disney Springs. The bus hits all three All Stars, so we had a packed bus, plus the trip is long.

Other than that, the rooms are nice, the beds are comfortable, the food selection is adequate yet good.

We are booked for Sports for the PSD for the end of February. We ended up having to settle due to price. Last time we did split stay AOA/CR, this time we were planning CBR/CR, but we just couldn't justify the price with the lower than expected discounts. We ended up deciding on value, and loved movies, but that wasn't part of the deal. So now we are at Sports. I'm sure we're going to have a great time, but when we started planning we were staying mod/deluxe, now value the entire trip. A bit disappointing, but we figure we saved over $2000 by doing this. We figure we won't be around the resort much anyway.

Only complaint I have at sports is the London broil dinner was removed on Monday

Hi there! I have reservation for feb 2016 for the night before our first Disney Cruise :sail:
Has anyone used Disney transportation to the Port? Any idea what time they pick up from All Star Sports? What time they get to the Port?

Any info would be great. :thanks:

We went this route in May this year, stayed 1 night at Sports before our cruise & had the DCL transfers to the port. I believe we were picked up at the resort about 11am time, maybe 11:30am. Took about 90 minutes to get across to the port, we checked in & boarded the ship straight away. We reached our cabin just as they were letting people go into the rooms, perfect timing.

We are here, having a good time. Our first stay at Sports, and I'll give a overall review from our point when back home. The first 48hrs were very disappointing and we were very displeased, a lot of time wasted with the manager those days. It's gotten better. But it'll be Pop Century for us next time.

Pretty patch sorry issues happened to you
That can happen at any resort
My stay at Sports was smooth with the exception of my favorite dinner of London broil being removed

Yes, it was great to see you too!

I still laugh when I asked Lisa a question then you did a double take it was me

I had written down your schedule you gave me earlier and was right behind you in the bus line that morning

How was your rip tour?
Did you get a good tour guide?

The RIP tour was excellent, and the tour guide was great but sadly I don't remember his name. I've asked my sister and her husband to see if they remember. We did all houses except Asylum in Wonderland twice, bypassed the line and was in the front seat of HRRR, great seat to Bill and Ted's, and visited the RIP lounge at MIB. Everyone agreed that it was money well spent and would do it again next year.

Edit: The tour guide's name was Jesse. He did an incredible job and I wouldn't hesitate to ask for him again. He was very knowledgable on both the houses and Universal Studios.

Looking for anyone who has had more "recent" experience getting Amazon Prime Pantry deliveries to All-Star Sports. Was it a hassle? How far out did you order? Did the resort make you pay a delivery fee of any kind? (We are staying there in just a few weeks and are Prime members so would prefer to order from there rather than check a bag at the airport for water, etc.).

Ordered from Prime in June, no problems at all. The resort charged no fee but I did the gentleman who brought it too the room. I ordered 2 weeks out. Only advice is call the resort and add the tracking numbers to your reservation and they will bring it quicker to you. I had 4 huge boxes filled with water,Gatorade, snacks and stuff like sunscreen all was good. I also had to order a new pair of sunglasses midtrip and they came in first thing next day. Very easy. And I will do it again when I stay at sports in February

Thank you so much for the valuable information about Prime Pantry. Did they mention if you have to be IN your room when they deliver? We have a late first-night arrival (our flight lands at 9pm so I know we won't get it on our first day). We also expect to be out of our room by 6:30 AM the next day, to do breakfast and rope-drop. Don't want to miss the delivery and have it going back and forth and getting lost.

Id call the front and let them know if they won't bring to the room they can put it into the holding area at bell services for you to pick up when you return for the day.

My dates are included in these and there has been no mention of this to me. This could be a big deal to some people. When my kids were little, it would have been a deal breaker. I don't like the policy of not telling some guests (seems some were notified), that a rather large amenity is being taken off the itinerary.
We received the letter on Friday. We had Sports scheduled for Oct 23-25th on a room only reservation, then Oct 25-Nov 6 for a FD reservation. I was pretty upset when I got the letter. For some it may not seem like a big deal, but for us it was. We like to lounge around a quiet pool during the day. We will be there for too many days to have to deal with trying to go to Music or Movies for their quiet pool. This would affect us for 12 days. If I would've known about this ahead of time, we would've booked Music when I had the chance. Anyway, called Disney and they had no availability at Music or Movies, so we were moved to Pop. Really didn't want to do a split stay, but it is what it is. Happy that Disney helped us out and understood that for some of us, closing a quiet pool really does affect our stay.
