Resort Thread Disney's ALL-STAR SPORTS Resort

If it were me, I'd take a bus to Epcot, walk through the park to the International Gateway, and then walk to the YC/BC. Alternatively, to avoid going into the park, you could take a bus to Hollywood Studios, then take the skyliner from HS to Epcot. This would drop you off at the International Gateway, but would also require you to transfer to the Epcot Skyliner route at the Skyliner hub at the Caribbean Beach Resort station.
So I assume a park ticket is required to walk through Epcot to Gateway. I might do the Studios/ skyliner route since I have never ridden on the skyliner. Thank you

The Bus to DHS/Skyliner to International Gateway route is FUN!

When staying at the All-Stars we always use that route when going to Epcot instead of the bus to the front of Epcot!

When doing that we consider Disney Skyliner our first attraction of the day!

Checking in to Sports this Saturday. I have a preferred room and normally request Surfs Up 1st floor. Are there any preferred rooms that have been refurbed that may be on the 1st floor? Thanks

Pretty sure both Touchdown buildings - buildings 7 & 10 - which are also Preferred are fully refurbed & open. Not positive about Surf's Up building 6 - it might be done or close to done. Building 1 of Surfs Up is NOT refurbed yet!

To add on to the refurbed or not question about the preferred buildings - are any of the standard rooms refurbished?

FYI. There is a dedicated thread for Sports Renovations, if someone wants more detailed information:

https://www.disboards.com/threads/all-star-sports-renovations.3764454/

So far, all standard and preferred buildings appear refurbished except for the following:

Preferred Building 1.
Standard Buildings 2, 3, and 5.

Also, Christmas decorations were gone as of Wednesday 1/4.
