Are the activities around the pool geared just to small children? or older children and teens too? Its been a few years since we've spent an afternoon at the main pool so can't remember.

I would say children of all ages with some teens joining in every now and then.

Depends...the few my DD attended were geared for all ages..but it was mostly middle school and younger with a couple teens that made up the group. It could have been because it was early afternoon and teens were in the parks?
The activities were fast paced and fun. I can see teens enjoying them if they wanted.

For anyone who has stayed at the Movies recently are the beds hard or soft and how is the condition of the room?

We are here now. I think the beds are soft and comfortable. The room condition is also good. We are in the Fantasia building at Movies, very clean, absolutely no complaints (and I'm a clean freak).

I couldn't agree more. I just returned from a 5 night stay. We had a preferred room in the Toy Story building (building 10). I requested top floor. We were put in room 931 which was nice and close to the bus stop (didn't have to walk through the main building, there was a short cut right nearby. Room was clean, well equipped and quiet. Never ever heard another guest the entire week there. I was hesitant since I have only stayed at moderate resorts but I would definitely consider this again.

Food court had great choices. We didn't spend any time at the pool, we were mostly in the parks.

My only complaint was trying to get home from Disney Springs. The bus stop was for all the All Star resorts. I think we waited 20 minutes before a bus came at all. And we were 3 busses back. So that trip overall took well over an hour after stopping at all 3 resorts. But that was my only complaint all week.

Which standard building do you prefer? I know our choices are Love Bug and Mighty Ducks. I am thinking Love Bug, just because my youngest son loved Herbie. We are only staying one night and will have our car. Distance to the buses isn't a problem. We have only stayed in Toy Story before, and it has been so long, I don't remember.

Have booked a preferred room & requested the Toy Story section for our June trip. Thinking our other request would be close to transportation but not sure if that's a waste of a request since we're already paying for preferred. Have looked at the resort map but can't really tell the distance if we end up at the furthest end of a Toy Story building. Also, thinking it would be fun (ok, nerdy) to walk thru Andy's room each time we go to/from our room. But, if we're in an area prior to that we wouldn't necessarily get to go thru there each time. So...do I request close to transportation or use the second request for something else since we wouldn't be that far if in the TS section anyway?

I requested "toy story" and "highest floor". We were in building 10 on the top floor (third floor). It was a preferred room and was at the end of the building. Which was nice since that allowed us to not have to go thru the main building to get to the bus. There is a path that brings you around the front by the bus stop. We walked through andys room to go to the food court, etc.

Also, in my online check-in I requested "near transportation", is that going to make a difference, since we´re staying in a standard room?
My mom will be with us, and she´s a 62 y-o lady that doesn´t move so swiftly (she´s got chronic pains in both her knees), so I would appreciate if we didn´t have to walk a lot to the food court and bus stops every day.

Yes, Fantasia, Toy Story and Dalmatians are preferred. If you booked a standard room, you will get either Love Bug or Mighty Ducks. If you get Mighty Ducks, it *might* be closer to use ASMusic's bus, it just depends. If she needs to be closer, you may want to switch your reservation to preferred.

Hmmm, I don´t think that would be possible. I´m not from the US, and I booked the whole trip from a local TA, so I don´t believe I can do that now. Oh well, I´ll just hope for the best and try to get as close to one of the bus stops (AsMo or AsMu) as I can...
