I just saw this on paramount international travel.com.anyone ever purchase this ticket?is it legit?

If you haven't already, check out this thread:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=309219

As you will read, I've purchased and used tickets from Paramount myself and would not hesitate to do so again. I did not purchase the 10 Day pass, but jgates did (see thread for details).

When the search engine allows, you might try a search for paramount. There have been other reports about the 10 day pass - all positive.

HTH.

Thanks for this thread!!! I think we'll buy our tickets from them for our upcoming trip! I like the idea of the character breakfast and "plus" options in the price for the 7 day hopper! Thanks!

But for that price, aren't you better off getting an AP?

Maybe, maybe not. An AP does not include admission to PI after 7 p.m., the waterparks, Disney Quest or the WWOS. If you are not returning to WDW within the year and plan to visit DQ, PI or the waterparks, the World Pass is a better value.

To compare apples to apples, you really need to compare the cost of the World Pass ($335 plus shipping) to that of a Premium Annual Pass. The current price of a new PAP is $520.70 or $499.49 with a Disney Club discount.

FWIW, a new AP is currently $392.99 or $377.01 with a Disney Club discount.

Awesome info, Carol. Thank you for answering my question.

However, don't you think that slight advantage over APs (not premiums) would be evened out by the onsite discounts? Meaning, your admissions to DQ, PI and so forth that you save with the 10 day passes are pretty much in the form of the savings at the resorts, especially if you get a 40%!

With shipping the price of your ten day pass is very close to the price of your AP.

I think maybe the 10 day pass is best for someone staying offsite who does not plan to return during the year. Is my impression wrong?

I wouldn't say your impression is wrong. Each person needs to evaluate his/her touring plans and choose the ticket that best fits. FWIW, I believe the OP is a DVC member, so the the lodging discounts are not relevant. In his situation (assuming only one trip per year), the price of an AP plus just one visit to DQ and one visit to a waterpark will make the WP a better bargain.

That said, the target market for the 10 Day World Pass is international visitors who stay off site (and who usually do not make more than one trip per year). I can imagine more than one scenario (like the one you mentioned) that will make the AP a better value.

In summary, it depends! :teeth:

Carol is right,I am a DVC member.Usually I have a PAP but did not renew this time around. We will not be going back to WDW in a year so the 10 day pass will suit us better.I called paramount and was told the pass was for UK residents only and that I would only be able to buy the 7 day hopper plus. Oh well:(

Just wanted to let everyone know,I called back after reading all of the linked threads(Thanks Carol) and asked Rosa if she was sure about the 10 day pass and she put me on hold.sure enough she came back and apologized and said I could purchase them.:):bounce:

I was going to suggest that you give it another try, Dan.

Glad that it worked out for you. :) Now, can I go with you??? ;)

If you don't use all the days, can you carry them over?

No you can't Deb,the pass expires 20 days after you first use it.we will be there for 10 days and this works out cheaper than an 8 day UPH with a DVC discount.

Does anyone know if DisneyQuest is on the 7day php? Is the 7 day php good indefinitely?

Disney Quest admission is NOT a PLUS option. The only DQ admission options I'm aware of are:

- Unlimited Park Hopper (or these "World Passes")
- DQ Annual Pass
- DQ Single Day Pass

Premium annual passes also allow admission to Disney Quest.

Thanks everyone this information is very helpful! We wanted to go for 10 days next time and do not plan on returning in the same year. This pass looks like the perfect option!
