We're trying to decide whether or not to go to DisneyQuest. It will be me, DH and 2 DD's - 11 & 14.

What is there to do there?
How much time do you spend there?
What isn't included in the entrance fee - I've heard that you can do the drawing class like the one at Hollywood Studios, but that you have to pay to actually have a printout of the drawing. What other things need to be paid for separately?

Thanks!

We went for the first time this past October. My DS's were 12 &13. We stayed the whole day (11:30 - 7ish)!!! We didn't buy the drawing, we just took a pic of our screens at the end of our session. My boys LOVED the build your own rollercoaster (again you can buy a video of your ride, but we didn't) Pirates of the Caribbean was fun, as was Speed of Light (I think that's what it's called).

I would say it depends on if your DD's like video games and such. Basically it is a giant arcade. Lots of fun and the interactive games are a blast. I agree with PP that you can take a picture of the drawing and not pay for it if you wish. That is what we did as well. They have food on the top floor.

We will usually only go to DQ if there is a rainy day or we want to kill a few hours indoor. We went last year and stayed for about 3-4 hours because our flights home were delayed. Plenty to do and check out. We usually prefer to be outside.

Hi All,

We've never been to DisneyQuest and I'm wondering what the set up is like.
Do you pay a one-time admission and then once inside, all games, etc. are free? or do you pay to get in and then pay for each video game or attraction?
Does anyone know the price off hand?

Sorry to be a bother, just trying to figure out what it is and if it's something we'd like to plan for.

Thanks.
:confused3

A day ticket is approx $47 for adults and $41 for kids (under 3 is free). All ears has a pretty good FAQ http://allears.net/btp/dqfaq.htm which explains what is included etc

We went this past fall with DS's ages 11 & 8. We had the DVC premium annual pass so it was part of our ticket. We were there half a day and had fun. Both boys are begging to go back next trip. Personally I would never pay that $47. But as it is part of our ticket this year we are taking full advantage.

My husband lives video games, and I am a big fan of all things retro - including arcade games...but we both felt that DQ was a total waste of time and money. I'd rather go to the arcade at the resort than wait for a few minutes of play at DQ. The games are fairly limited for the sheer size of the place, and it was just totally underwhelming. We brought my nieces along, and they agreed. We have a better time just wandering around DTD than spending the day at DQ, especially for the price.

Thank you both very much for the information.
although both my husband and I are competitive and like to win, it doesn't sound like something we'd typically go for and perhaps our time is best spent in the parks or wandering around aimlessly through DTD or the resorts.

$47 pp is quite the expense, especially if it's just like a glorified arcade. I'd rather spend the extra money (haha, like we have "extra" money :rotfl2:) treat DH and myself to a nice dinner somewhere.

Appreciate your input, thanks again.
