Hi!
Hubby and I will be going to WDW after Thanksgiving, 2010 with dd10, ds8 & dd17m. We'll be there 6days/5nights. Hubby is interested in DisneyQuest for the older kids, but I don't think dd17m will enjoy it. I also have reservations on how much time we're going to have to do all of this (4 parks, 3 minigolf courses hubby wants to do, + DQ)? If I send hubby with the older 2, what might the baby and I enjoy more on our own?
Thanks!

Is this your first trip? With only 4 full days (assuming first and last day will include some travel) and wanting to hit all 4 parks, you won't be able to see everything. You'll need to really prioritize. :)

That said, I think your older two and hubby will have a fantastic time at DQ but your 17 month old will not. It is loud in there and this really nothing the baby could do. How long does your hubby want to stay at DQ? My hubby could spend days -- all day each day -- in there! If it's just a few hours then I would explore Downtown Disney and see the Christmas decorations -- and maybe go see Santa! If they plan on longer then go explore the resorts or even go to MK and spend time doing "baby" things!

We're planning, if we drive, to arrive early on a Sunday and leave late on the Friday. If we fly, we may try to do things a bit differently (ie not leave until Sunday or something). I know we won't be able to "do it all" . . . but hubby's finding lots of things *outside* the parks he's interested in doing with the kids. :sigh: I'm the planner :)
Thanks,

I love video games and am an avaid gamer. I was pretty dissapointed in disney quest so many of the games are very out of date and my personal video game set up beats at least 70% of what they have. That said there are a few big things that are good... make your own coaster and ride it for instance, but i had WAY more fun at the waterparks/ theam parks than at disney quest and left after only a couple of hours because it was so lack luster... also it took 40 min of waiting to build/ride a coaster ... i'd rather ride a real coaster for that wait.

Just a heads up. Strollers are not permitted in Disney Quest. You'd have to carry your toddler. Plus there is nothing for children younger than your 8 yr old. Your 8 and 10 yr olds will have fun with your husband.

Disney Quest hours are pretty late. If I recall correctly, it doesn't even open until 11AM or so. Which could be nap time for the toddler.

If your hotel has a pool and a sand area, you might spend time playing with the little one there.

I was aware about the stroller issue. We plan to take our wrap (baby carrier) with us, so carrying her shouldn't be a problem . . . just trying to figure out other logistics. We are staying on resort (POR or WL).
Thanks!
