Trying to decide whether to upgrade our park passes to include the water parks and Disney Quest - is there enough to do in DisneyQuest to keep our 6-yr-old occupied or are the games more geared toward older kids?

Any advice is greatly appreciated...

I took my six year old. I had to beg him to leave. Too much for me, he loved it.

You didn't say when your trip was scheduled. We always have to travel during school breaks so summer is the best time for us to go BUT the crowds are big. We waited to take our boys until last summer at 11 and 9 years old. That place is so big with multiple floors that we felt it was too stressful for us to try to keep up with two over excited "little" kids in that big building while fighting the summer crowds of vacations in the past.

At the ages they were last summer, even if they got mixed in with the tons of teens and big kids ( there are plenty of little ones running around too ) we could rest assured that they wouldn't panic or become victims of any "bad" person. We got to play and have fun too since we didn't have to hover over the boys.

If I only had one to take, I would probably have taken him at at younger age. We are from Atlanta and have learned that there are a bunch of mean people out there so we tend to hover at times.

HTH and by the way,- we had to bargan to get the scamps out of there after 5 hours straight of games! It really can be a fun place to spend an afternoon.

We had to drag our 6 year old son out of there after about 6 hrs. If your child likes video games they will be there for hours.

We were in WDW this past week and went to DisneyQuest for the first time. I have two girls (9 & 11), and I had to pratically drag them both out of there after 6 hours! They both loved it and my youngest said she liked it as much as the other parks! Another thing, we ate lunch upstairs and had the best cheeseburgers that we have had in years--the chocolate cupcakes were fanstastic too.

We always upgrade our tickets, which includes the waterparks & DisneyQuest, but the waterparks are so much fun that we've never made it to DisneyQuest yet. After reading these remarks, I guess we'll have to try it.

We went in June with our DS who was 5 1/2 at the time. He's tall for his age (47") and was a little dissappointed that he couldn't do some of the interactive games. He couldn't do the bumper car type game, the Space Mountain design & ride coaster and the Mighty Ducks pinball game. He still had a lot of fun but I just wanted to let you know there are height restrictions on some of the activities.
