My FI and I have booked our disneymoon through AAA. We will be staying the the AKL, we were only able to afford a standard view, but we're hoping for the wonderful people at disney to upgrade us since it will be our honeymoon. When we booked there was no place to put on our reservation that it will be our honeymoon, so I was wondering if I should call and let them know or just let them know when we check in. Also I have heard that you can get buttons from guest services that say just married, but do you need any sort of proof that you did just get married?? TIA

Nothing special required for buttons- just ask! congrats. When went on our HM many years ago- we rec comp. bottle of champagne at the contemporary. best wishes and enjoy!

Call your Travel agent and tell them or call disney and give them your reervation number and let them know.When you make your ADR's tell them as well.

yes you pick up your pins at geust services and no you don't need proof

first off congrats. we honeymooned in DInsey at the Grand floridian, and just went again for one one year at AKL. we had a standard roo booked and asked to be upgraded for our anniversary adn we got a savannah view. BUT, please dont e disapointed if nothing "speical" happens. you have to go into it being "ok" with what you already ahve booked. what time of year are you going? we went in value season when the place was not full so thats why they could upgrade us. if it is a packed house, tehre is a lot less chance of it happening. good luck!

We're getting married october 25 and will be leaving for our honeymoon on the 27th. I'm not expecting to get any upgrades, but I just want to try to maximize my chances of getting one.

You'll love the Animal Kingdom Lodge--it's spectacular! Be sure to have dinner at Jiko one night...lovely atmosphere & great food and wine.

Your travel agent is able to tell them it's your honeymoon. I would call and ask them to be sure to call & have it put on your ressie. I'm an independent TA and we do this all the time. I would also then be sure to mention it upon checkin. Good luck!
