Me: Todd 40 and a not so recent visitor to the world. Also the master planner and lover of all things that Walt hath created.
Em Wife in 12 days. Never been on a plane, to any Disney Park or even the State of Florida. And couldn't be more excited about our trip.
Background
Well back in September 05 I was tricked into getting engaged. All I wanted was a simple back rub and I was given two days to pick from. I was not told what these days were just told to pick one. So I chose October 7. I was then informed that that was our wedding date in 06. As a career bachelor this was a hard pill to swallow, but I reluctantly agreed.
Well that is when I laid down the law. I said we are going to Disneyworld for our honeymoon and I will not bend. Much to my surprise she was thrilled with the idea and soon started asking me all kinds of questions. As much as I love to research all things Disney, I soon realized that I knew very little of the New and improved Mouse that swallowed Central Florida. This is when I stumbled across the greatest website of all time THE DIS
After I started researching a little I realized that this was going to cost me a little cash that I did not have. Right around Xmas time my brother informed me that we had inherited money from my grandmother that would be more than enough to pay for the Honeymoon. And right after the New Year I booked my trip of a Lifetime. Now Em and I aren't lavish people but we wanted something Nice so we chose POR for both its scenery and styling.
We didn't think that we wanted to stay in a Value and couldn't really see paying all that money for a Deluxe.
We will be staying at POR from 10-9 thru 10-14 and even though Free Dining ends we still went with the dining package.
This is my first attempt at a trip report so be gentle. I will post some more pre-trip stuff before we leave. Let me know if you will be there. I would love to meet some fellow Dissers
