Disneyland

Do you know if there are FP rides that are NOT connected at WDW, and if so, what those are?

Beca,
It used to be the HM and Jungle Cruise were not linked at the MK and Star Tours was not linked at MGM... On our most recent visit (over Memorial Day weekend), DH tried to get HM and Jungle Cruise FPes in addition to the Buzz Lightyear we already held and it didn't work this time. He wasn't able to get them (until the normal waiting period).
I know that HM and Jungle Cruise were not linked on our visit 4-8 April, so I don't know if they linked them back up for the Memorial Day crowds or what. (You would have thought they would link them back up for Spring Break crowds, too).

how many people does the 1 BR sleep?? Would you have prefer the 1 BR or 2 reg rooms connected?? I am going to DL next summer and i will have 6 people and am trying to figure what kind of room to get. I am also using the DVC points too.
I thought the DLH does not have any balcony. I am so niave when it comes to DL, only been there once.

Not all the rooms have balconies, in fact I think (but don't quote me on it) only the suites have them.

Would we have preferred two regular rooms connected? No, not in this stage of the game. For our purposes, we wanted the little "kitchen area" We have a toddler and an infant so it's nice to have the fridge and space to store snacks nd food, wash sippy cups, etc... The "kitchen" in the suites only have a fridge, wet bar and breakfast bar, it's not really a kitchen per se.

We had groceries delivered by vons.com. We kept things like milk, OJ, cereal, bread, cold cuts, bread, condiments, etc so we could have lunch and breakfast in the room as well as have our toddler's milk on the ready for the AM and bedtime. Also, since I am nursing my baby, I needed the fridge to store pumped breastmilk. I pumped so my mom could feed the baby bottles when DH and I went out at night.

Would it sleep 6? Not our suite. We had a king in the bedroom and there is a pull out bed in the living room. DH, baby and I slept in the king. My mom came for a few nights (she lives in Southern CA) and she slept in the pull out with my toddler, DD slept there by herself when my mom wasn't there.

Supposedly they have one bedroom suites with two queens in the bedroom, but I don't think they can gaurantee that set up so that's something to consider. With two queens and a sofa pull out, you COULD sleep 6 adults.

There ARE two bedroom suites available as well.

I just want to remind you that this is not the best use of points practically speaking. I mean, it works for us, but I know a lot of people would never use their points like this.

Good Luck!

Thanks so much, Tonyswife.

I did call DLH today and they said 1 BR does sleep 6 with the 2 queen beds in the 1 br.

I just have to figure it out whether to use 1 BR or 2 connecting room. I like the idea of the refrig. and all...

Melinda, call back and ask if the regular rooms have the fridge in them too. I stayed at the Grand Cal a couple of years ago (friend was in town visiting and staying there so, I had to stay too gosh darnit!), and the rooms there all had fridges in them.... I'm pretty sure that at DL, all the hotel rooms will have a fridge.

Just booked the GC for 3 nights with points. Cant wait to check out the hotel and the new park, we did MK 24 years ago. We'll have our lime green ribbons too so maybe we will meet up somewhere.
Thanks everybody for all your opinions. Now we need to decide on the Fantasmic dessert buffet.

LOL, Beca, I just learn when I need to... and I am so out of it with DL since it's been so long since I've been. So I've done a lot of "research" lately :teeth: I will say though, if I can ever get beyond the lobby of Club 33 I will be thrilled :p

Tony & Debbie, so glad you got your rooms booked!!! I'll have lime green on my backpack and I am sure my buddies I am going with will have them as well (ironically all DISers too!!!) We will also be doing the Fantasmic Dessert Buffet on the Monday. If you can, I hear the balcony is wonderful and it only holds like 18. They seat per when the ressie was made. I can't wait for that one!!!
