I thought the DLH does not have any balcony. I am so niave when it comes to DL, only been there once.
Not all the rooms have balconies, in fact I
think (but don't quote me on it) only the suites have them.
Would we have preferred two regular rooms connected? No, not in this stage of the game. For our purposes, we wanted the little "kitchen area" We have a toddler and an infant so it's nice to have the fridge and space to store snacks nd food, wash sippy cups, etc... The "kitchen" in the suites only have a fridge, wet bar and breakfast bar, it's not really a kitchen per se.
We had groceries delivered by vons.com. We kept things like milk, OJ, cereal, bread, cold cuts, bread, condiments, etc so we could have lunch and breakfast in the room as well as have our toddler's milk on the ready for the AM and bedtime. Also, since I am nursing my baby, I needed the fridge to store pumped breastmilk. I pumped so my mom could feed the baby bottles when DH and I went out at night.
Would it sleep 6? Not our suite. We had a king in the bedroom and there is a pull out bed in the living room. DH, baby and I slept in the king. My mom came for a few nights (she lives in Southern CA) and she slept in the pull out with my toddler, DD slept there by herself when my mom wasn't there.
Supposedly they have one bedroom suites with two queens in the bedroom, but I don't think they can gaurantee that set up so that's something to consider. With two queens and a sofa pull out, you COULD sleep 6 adults.
There ARE two bedroom suites available as well.
I just want to remind you that this is not the best use of points practically speaking. I mean, it works for us, but I know a lot of people would never use their points like this.
Good Luck!
