Ok I have been many a times to WDW and planning our first trip to DL in October and we plan on flying into SNA (John Wayne Airport) but was wondering how everyone get to and from airport? With WDW we all know about Magical Express and I know there is no ME in DL but just the wife and I going so what would the best transportation no into renting a car not going to be there that long. Any help would be great.

We've flow into SNA 8 or 9 times and have either just grabbed a taxi or booked a shuttle. A taxi is approximately $45 and you can book a shared shuttle for around $10/person. We always have at least 3 of us so we just grab a taxi now.

Edited to add: If you are staying at one of the onsite hotels, ask for a flat rate taxi slip for the ride back to SNA.

Supershuttle is also a good option and you can sometimes find discounts just by googling supershuttle discounts. It's a shared ride van service

Thanks for the info everyone... now just have to wait for the booking window to open on my DVC to secure a reservation.

We usually take a cab, it is easy, fast, and least hastle. I can't be bothered with prebooking transportation or waiting for shuttles based on their schedules. With a cab or uber you don't have to stop at other hotels either to let other guests off. Like a PP said, if you are staying dvc then they will have flat rate vouchers for the ride back.

The answer is Uber! It's a fast ride and cheaper than a cab.
My wife and I used Uber to get to SNA in December. Was great, cheap fast and easy. We drove from family event in Pheonix so i am not sure if uber will pick up at airport. But I think I read they do at SNA.

Bbrnca, thank you for asking this question! It's very timely, as I have also just booked my first trip to DL, and flying into SNA!

Supershuttle with a coupon code for me. I think last time it was $7 or $8 each way per person.

We've always used a taxi before but this trip I think I'm going to give Uber a shot!

I thought the answer in California was always "rent a car"?

But you are in luck - apparently there IS a Magical Express (or facsimile thereof): http://www.ocair.com/groundtransportation/buses
There is a Magical Express, but if you've ever ridden it in Orlando, do NOT get your expectations up! My wife and I took this option two years ago when we visited and it was a horrible experience. Definitely not the same magic as WDW.

Enjoy your visit to DL though.
