Just some info on Disney crowds: I went to Disneyland yesterday and had a great time, especially because the crowd level was low. We walked on California Screamin', Matterhorn SR, and were the only ones in the FP line for Splash so that also turned out to be a walk on. I really wanted to see Paint the Night and Disneyland Forever again so we showed up around 8 and tried our luck in front of the castle. There was plenty of room here and we claimed a spot front and center! Granted we were a little further back from the parade route, but it was worth it for the great view of the fireworks. Sadly, Tinkerbell and Nemo didn't fly :( Disneyland Forever was at 9:10 and they said they were unsure if Fantasyland would reopen afterwards. The lady I asked said it had to do with winds. If you plan to ride Peter Pan after the fireworks, head to the back of Fantasyland by Dumbo as they always open that side first. We were one of the first in line, but really the queue filled up to a 45 minute wait within minutes so if you're not into people pushing and shoving you, I would forgo this experience. Peter Pan kept fluctuating from a 25 minute to 45 minute wait throughout the day. Anyways, just thought I would share my experience for anyone visiting DL soon, however, I imagine the crowds will increase as there are upcoming events, marathons, and Halloween Time.

This is why we try to hit the parks at the slowest possible times! It's really a treat to experience the park that way.
Glad you had such a good time.

I was there all week and confirm crowds were light. Monday was a little more crowded than the other days. For whatever reason, my kids' school starts next week, but everyone else seems to have already started. Only negative (besides the heat, which can't be helped) was no weeknight Fantasmic. Never did make it on Peter Pan though since the shortest line I saw over 4 days was 25 mins and I couldn't stand the thought of standing that line in this heat (90s with high humidity.)

We will be there on Saturday! I have been stalking that app and finally it will actually be relevant!! Now it is just making me jealous, lowest crowds for months!

We were there Aug 25th to the 28th and the crowds were very small and we too found out the longest we waited all trip was 30 minutes for Radiator Springs, 20 for Toy Story and 25 for splash mountain! It was a great time to be there!

Its been brutally hot lately. Its probably part of the reason people are not going. We were going to go yesterday but decided not to due to the heat.

We just arrived home from our trip (8/25-8/29). It was amazing as usual! I agree, crowds seemed fairly low for the summer. Morning time was the best. It seemed awfully crowded to me at night, probably because of PTN and fireworks. On Friday, we did the 9:00 Fantasmic! with FP, stayed for the fireworks at 9:30 and then slid right over to main street for the 10:45 parade. It worked perfectly. Though we weren't near the Castle for the fireworks, my boys didn't mind since they do projections on the water.
