Disneyland Transportation Questions

I'm traveling to Disneyland for the first time and have questions about transportation. I'm flying into SNA. Does the Disneyland Express bus make several stops or just stop at the Disney resorts? What is the typical wait time for the bus to leave the airport? Has anyone used Uber from SNA to a Disney resort? Is there any other type of transportation that I should consider?

My understanding is that it makes several stops, but i think the disney hotels are the first stops. I looked into using it because i have toddler who i was not packing a carseats. But after doing research with our family of 6 it was actually cheaper to get a shuttle service which offers a private van (they provide carseats on private vehicles, not shared) and it will be quicker because they will only be waiting for us at the airport as well as only making our stop. I made a reservation with airway one shuttle and for 6 of us in a private vehcile it is 104$ round trip and the disneyland express would have been about $120 with the $5 discount you can get.

Uber is all over the Anaheim area and Uber X is now permitted to pick up and deliver to SNA...they are my first choice. There are usually a lot of Uber XL available for larger groups. Taxis are quick and about $45. Shuttles may be cheaper but you will waste a lot of time waiting and have to deal with multiple stops.

I'm traveling by myself this trip for the Tinker Bell half so I don't need a big vehicle. I think I'm going to try Uber, but I'm a little nervous since I've never used it before.

We always fly into SNA and DH uses Uber all the time for business and that's what we now use for family travel. We've had nothing but good experiences with Uber, so convenient! Have a great trip.

Does Uber charge per person or is it a per car rate? There will be 3 of us needing transportation from SNA to the Anabella Hotel and back to the airport. I'm trying to figure out my best option.

Glad to hear! We plan to grab a taxi or Uber when we get to LAX. I've taken the DL Express before during the slow months but after a recent trip that involved waiting for a shuttle (non-disney) and waiting almost an hour to pick up a car - this trip I plan to not plan. I'd prefer not to wait the minimum 15 minutes since we'll be getting in late at night after flying/ working all day.

Uber charges per car. It also has a share option. You can split the rate between people who have valid Uber accounts with attached payment methods. If all three of you have an account - you should be able to split the fare.

Do you have to set up an account with Uber prior to your trip and have their phone app to use them? I've been doing some research, but I'm still a little confused. Thanks!

It has always been our experience that the the DLE stops at the Disney resort hotels 1st b4 going on to the other hotels they may have passengers for. LAX always takes a little bit longer as there are more zones they have to stop at but they DO NOT troll the gates waiting to fill up the bus. SNA is faster due to less gates.

Have never had a bad experience using the DLE service. The price point and service cant be beat IMO.

Yes, you need to have a phone app to use them. You can sign up fairly quickly, so 'prior' to your trip is questionable. If you sign up before and have a payment method attached, you should be able to call and have one within a few minutes of your arrival/bag pick up at the airport. I personally do not like their privacy policy, so my boyfriend has it on his phone and I do not.

Totally agree. I was the only one on the bus when I used them (midday/morning) and I didn't have a problem either time. But the 15 minute or more wait has me pausing this trip since we will be getting in late. The sign was (is?) also hard to see, so I don't want to add even more confusion if I can't find it again.
