disneyland to versailles

We will be taking the train back to Paris after spending the night at the Disneyland Hotel. We must be at our Paris hotel at 1p.m. to meet our tour group that we will be spending the next two weeks with. Is it possible to take the train from Disneyland to Versailles have a quick tour and make it back to Paris by 1p.m? we realize it would be a very short stop at Versailles but our kids really want to see it and it is the only time we have available. Your thoughts please….

It takes at least 90 mins to get from DLP to Versailles and that's assuming that all the RER are running correctly - You will also be travelling in rush hour so it will be uncomfortable and you will have your luggage I presume.

Even if you are there for opening at 9.00am there will already be a queue and the security mesures are higher than normal - again what do you plan to do with your bags as there isn't any lockers for them if it really is a must for you buy your tickets in advance and think about stopping at one of the Paris train stations so you can leave your luggage there and then collect it when you come back to Paris before going to your hotel

I can understand you wanting to see it because it is beautiful but when we visited Versailles it was extremely busy (as I imagine it is every day) and you had to move through the palace with the flow of people, I only really wanted to see the Hall of Mirrors yet it was nigh on impossible to move faster than the flow a lot of the time. Have you considered taking a private shuttle from DLP to your Paris hotel so you could leave your luggage there? That way you won't need to be collecting it from a train station on your return to Paris.
