What is the best way to get to Universal Studios from Disneyland without a car? I really don't want to rent a car for one day at US. TIA :goodvibes

The last time I went to universal studios from disneyland, I took a bus with a tour company. The cost of the ticket was included. I wish I could remember the name of the tour co, but if you call your hotel that you are staying at, they more than likely have information about local tours and will be more than happy to assist you.

We have booked with Grayline - for about $90 per person - we get picked up at the hotel (HoJo's) - shuttle to Universal - leaves around 7 or 7.30 pm (they originally told me via e-mail) - although park does only close at 8pm that night. After that we get a night-time tour of LA (with a couple of stops in Hollywood). We could have gone straight back to hotel after the tour for about $10 pp less.

We have booked this in just over 2 weeks so I can let u know how it goes, if you like.

Yikes - the bus prices seem kind of high compared to the cost of a rental car! I'm not sure why renting a car is not an option, but if you're intimidated by LA driving/getting lost (which would be perfectly understandable), it's really not that bad of a drive. Disney and Universal are located right by the freeway on and off ramps. The freeways are well signed/marked, and it's an easy drive. I'm from Hawaii where we basically have one long freeway with two spurs - if I can do it, anyone can!

Didn't mention that this cost also includes admission to the park - it's the first time for us to DLR - we go to WDW every year though and even there we don't drive (but then stay onsite at WDW or Universal hotel) - find driving on the 'wrong side' of the road, different roadsigns etc quite intimidating and for us it's worth it not to have the hassle.

Thank you, I would appreciate that very much! Have a good trip!

Thank you for all the responses. I am taking my grandson and I didn't want to rent a car while there but I guess I could check into a one-day rental for the one day at Universal.
