Disneyland to LAX at night?

DH and I are leaving tomorrow for our trip to CA. We are trying to book a hotel for our last night and debating between getting a room by DL or just driving over to LAX after we leave the park Friday night; we fly out Saturday around noon.

Mapquest says it is about a 30 minute drive, is this accurate? I am only afraid that it will take longer if we try to leave in the morning to head to the airport.

Any suggestions??

I can't answer this but I'm really curious about this too. We've never flown in/out of LAX and I'm wondering how crazy the traffic is both at the airport and driving to and from.

I can honestly say that I don't think it would only take 30mins. When we were there in November, although we were on the Disneyexpress bus, it took a good 45mins in decent traffic but being on a Sat. I would anticipate the traffic to be heavier therefore I would give yourselves at least a 1 hour window to drive there. Traffic in LA is INSANE!! Good luck.

I would give myself two hours, actually. You might get there in 60 minutes if the traffic is clear, but again, you might not.

Later in the evening is better than 4-8.

This is the route we take to get home to BC...and 2 hours is safest...it easily takes 45 minutes in "light" traffic...but given the nature of the busy roads down there...give yourself 2 hours of driving time for sure!

Also, keep in mind that LAX can have loooong security lines, and you need to be checked in 30 minutes before your flight...so give yourself a LOT of time!! The Dobies don't fly out of LAX for this reason...we will fly in to LAX, but we fly out of SNA, which is closer, smaller, and much easier and quicker to navigate.
