We are driving from San Diego next Sunday to Disneyland. My husband wants to see the Hollywood sign and Hollywood blvd (handprints). How far are these things from Disney? and if we get there early in the morning could we see them and then go to Disney? What's the drive tiem? thanks :confused3 :confused3

Anaheim to Hollywood is about 25 miles or so. Driving up there on a Sunday morning shouldn't be too bad, but it will take you about an hour each way. You could visit the Hollywood & Highland complex (Kodak Theatre) to see the hand prints, stars on the Walk of Fame and a view of the Hollywood sign all in one place. Would take up a chunk of your day, but if you really want to see it, it can be done.

So even though it's only 25 miles, it would take us and hour to drive from Disney to LA?

Odd as it sounds... yes. That's door to door - Disneyland to Kodak Theatre. If you allow less than an hour each way, I guarantee you'll hit traffic. If you allow an hour, you may be lucky and make it in about 45 minutes. I've done the drive in 30 mins, but that's usually only late in the evening. Plan on one hour and if you make it in less, think of how happy you'll be! There are certain spots where it almost always backs up for a little while - the East LA interchange (crossings of the 5, 10 and 101) and crossing over the 110 (on the 101) are usually backed up.

LA traffic Jams are literally slower than walking. I completely believe this!
