Disneyland Ticket Procedure

I got tickets with my Disneyland hotel package and I'm a bit confused by the procedure to use them. Do I have to do go somewhere to get my picture taken first before I can use them to get into a park? Or does that happen as I go into the park?

They will take your photo at the gate at some point. Not always your very first use of the ticket, but it could be.

Take the print out you got after you bought the tickets and take it to the gate. They will take care of everything right there.

The cast members at the turnstiles have camera phones (or some similar device) that's used to take the photos and pull up previous photos. It's pretty quick.

As others have described, just go to the turnstiles like all the other folks with tickets. They'll take care of you very quickly.

So much fraud in the past they had too. But they are really quick and it will be over in a minute.

Yes, people (some posing as legitimate businesses) were on selling half used tickets. It is very quick to have your photo taken and get your proper ticket.

The good news is - while you might be slightly slowed down by people having their pictures taken - you will not be stuck behind people who cannot remember which finger they need to scan!

The whole deal about "ticket renting" isn't specifically illegal under California law. It was a violation of Disney Parks terms and conditions though. Those businesses have dried up though with the photo policy.

The transfer of multi-day theme park tickets is actually illegal under Florida law.

Another question...since I got my tixs directly from Disney since I'm staying at the Disneyland Hotel, are the tickets that they sent me the proper ticket? Or do they give me something else to use entering the parks and to get FPs?

If they're not the right ones, they can take care of it for you at check-in. I know when we bought tickets through another site (maybe Orbitz?) we turned in the vouchers at Paradise Pier when we checked in and they gave us our tickets right then.
