In 2010 we visited Disneyland between Christmas and New Years. Great vacation but the crowds were almost too much to bear:eek:
Can anyone tell us what kind of crowds to expect as we plan a Thanksgiving weekend trip to Disneyland this year? Will the Christmas decorations be up by then??

It will be crowded, not as bad as xmas, but a lot of people. From what I understand, the crowds go down a little later in the week, from Thanksgiving through Sunday (everyone but top APs blocked). We have only previously been there during this time at the end of the week. I think that most of the decorations will be up by then.

We will be there this year from Tue-Sun that week. I think the usual game plan will work, get there early and you can get a lot done in the mornings. Use FP as much as you can. Take a break at lunch/afternoon, if that is your thing, do some shopping or relax at the pool (my wife and daughter like naps). Go back in the afternoon/evening.

If you can, add an extra day, helps ease your mind about the crowds. We generally go during the summer and really don't have to plan other than getting to the parks early. I plan a little more when we go during the busier times, but even then it is just a loose list of things we want to see/do during each day.

Have a magical trip!
