Tell me why it is worth staying in one of Disneyland's resorts. If you don't choose one of them, give me your 1st choice of any other hotel. Do you save enough to make it worth it for 3 nights?

Early Entry. We did not stay in a Disneyland Resort and the one day we used Magic Morning was glorious.

We stayed at the Sheraton Park on points.

Just a slight clarification, there is only on Disneyland Resort and that is everything here, Disneyland, DCA, Downtown Disney, Parking, the hotels, etc.

There are three on site hotels and as to if it is worth it, that is up to your family. The benefits are definitely not the same as at Disney World. If we weren't DVC members, I don't think we would stay on site ever, but we live close enough that we don't need a hotel either.

I think that if cost is a major factor, I wouldn't stay at an onsite hotel. Yes, there are some benefits, like taking advantage of early entry and never leaving Disney property, but you can still have a nice vacation without having to stay onsite.

My top choices if I were to travel to the DLR would be (in no particular order):
Camelot
Candy Cane Inn
HoJo
Ramada Inn Maingate
Sheraton Anaheim (deluxe)
Residence Inn Maingate (suites)
Tropicana

I would look at all of them and take the best deal.
