I will be in San Diego for a conference in January. I want to take my daughter to Disneyland for a weekend.

We have never been to Disneyland. I looked at the hotel prices and was surprised at how expensive they are compared to WDW. Any suggestions on the cheapest way to stay onsite for a weekend???

Thanks

thats nearly impossible, even for a cm discount it still a lot!

i suggest staying in another city, like Fullerton or Orange...

Paradise Pier Hotel is the cheapest. But the rates here aren't that much higher than WDW. WDW just has more hotels = more cheap hotels.

Many of the Good Neighbor hotels are just as close, and a lot cheaper. DLR is a lot smaller than WDW. No need to actually stay onsite.

I agree, staying onsite at Disneyland is not as big of a deal as staying onsite at WDW.

Some of the good neighbor hotels are closer to the main entrance plaza than DLH or PP.

Exactly. I just checked Expedia and HoJo's was listed at $84/night, Hilton at $80/night, for the weekend of Jan 12th-13th. You can easily walk to the parks from there.

Last night we visited some friends who are staying "off property" at Disneyland Resort. Their hotel is on Harbor Blvd., right across the street from the main entrance plaza.
